5 Years…and still excited? Really? After 5 years of working remotely for GOhiring I'm still intrigued by this exceptional working environment. Occasionally I get weird looks, when I express my fascination with our company culture (is he serious?! He must be out of his mind loving this job/company that much…👀). But don’t worry: it's not all sunshine and rainbows 😅 We do have our “challenging topics” – just like any other growing company working in a fast-paced market environment. It gets dirty, it gets tricky, and yes, sometimes, I wish I wasn’t there on the Sales frontline 🫣 The difference is: at GOhiring we tackle these obstacles with a different mindset. And that keeps exciting me. Why is that so, you ask? Let me try to explain what we do differently👇 One key element for sure is our remarkable team spirit! ➡️ We are well aligned to a clear goal and every team member is “rowing” in the same direction—which makes “rowing” A LOT easier! ➡️ I am surrounded by smart colleagues who are encouraged to challenge me in a progressive and positive way, which fosters personal growth! ➡️ We support each other and focus on the success of the team! Have you ever noticed how companies looking for new people and the people they want to hire don't seem to speak the same language, like they're trying to talk to ghosts from different worlds? I've been talking to a lot of different companies lately, and I've realized this happens a lot—it's not just a weird thing that happens sometimes. 🤔 The Big Misunderstanding: Leaders often build their processes using the methods that were effective when they were applying for jobs, which is like trying to find your way in New York with a paper map instead of using your phone's GPS today. Guess what: it doesn't get you the dream team you're hoping for. 👉 Here's a tip for all the companies out there: Try to take off self-focused glasses and stop thinking that the way things were once done is the only way to find good people.
