🚑 What Should You Do When Your Nose Bleeds? ⛑Share for Life-Saving Awareness 🧡 | IIHSE-International Institute of Health Safety Environment | IHSE-Institute of Health Safety Environment | Like, comment, share and follow the contents we share for awareness purposes! #iihse #ihse #health #environment #safety #hse #firstaid #nosebleed ⛑ Here are the steps to take if you experience a nosebleed: 1. **Sit Upright and Lean Forward**: Sit up straight and lean slightly forward. This prevents blood from going down your throat and reduces the risk of nausea. 2. **Pinch Your Nose**: Using your thumb and index finger, firmly pinch the soft part of your nose, just below the bridge. Hold this position for about 5-10 minutes. The pressure helps to stop the bleeding. 3. **Apply a Cold Compress**: Place a cold compress or ice pack on the bridge of your nose and forehead to constrict the blood vessels. This can slow down the bleeding. 4. **Breathe Through Your Mouth**: Continue to breathe through your mouth and avoid breathing through your nose to reduce pressure and help stop the bleeding. 5. **Repeat if Necessary**: If bleeding persists after the first attempt, repeat the process. If it doesn’t stop after 20 minutes, seek medical attention. ⛑ What to Avoid: - Do not tilt your head back. This can cause blood to flow down your throat, potentially leading to nausea. - Avoid blowing your nose right away, as this can dislodge clots and cause the bleeding to restart. If you experience frequent nosebleeds, it’s a good idea to consult with a doctor. ✨ IIHSE will open branches in every country in world: IIHSE Asian Branches Network IIHSE European Branches Network IIHSE Middle Eastern Branches Network IIHSE North American Branches Network IIHSE South American Branches Network IIHSE Oceanian Branches Network IIHSE African Branches Network IIHSE Nordic Branches Network IIHSE Balkans Branches Network IIHSE United Kingdom Branches IIHSE London Metropolitan Branch IIHSE South East of England Branch IIHSE North West of England Branch IIHSE Ireland Branch IIHSE Scotland Branch IIHSE United States Branches IIHSE New York Metropolitan Branch IIHSE Chicago Branch IIHSE California Branch ..............and others: ✨✨Write "IIHSE" in Linkedin Search. If you turn a blind eye to health and safety once you will continue to do it without hesitating or understanding the repercussions of this decision as you are training your brain to allow for these blind eye decisions to pass. Never compromise your position or principles to get the job done, If it can't be done safely then do not be rushed into making a decision that will endanger the lives of others over completing the project on time or under budget no matter the pressure. #Thoughtoftheday #JummahMubarak #HealthandSafety

🚿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲: 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 In workplaces dealing with hazardous materials, eyewashes and safety showers stand as crucial emergency response equipment. Although rarely activated, their reliability is paramount when it comes to providing effective and reliable first aid. 🔍 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 𝟯𝟬𝟬𝟬+ 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 In our extensive evaluation of over 3000 eyewashes, we've identified three most common issues compromising their effectiveness and reliability: 1. Water Jet Strength is Too high or too low: Issue: The water jet exhibits either excessive strength or inadequate force. Risk Assessment: ● Too Strong: Poses a potential risk of eye injury. ● Too Weak: Hinders effective eye rinsing. 2. Inability to Simultaneously Flush Both Eyes: Issue: The eyewash lacks the capability to simultaneously flush both eyes. Risk Assessment: Imbalance in water jet strength hinders simultaneous rinsing of both eyes. 3. Insufficient Eyewash Flow during Body Shower Activation: Issue: The eye shower fails to deliver an adequate amount of water when the body shower is activated concurrently. Risk Assessment: As water seeking easiest path; Activation of both body shower and eyewash simultaneously leads to inadequate water delivery for effective eye flushing. 🔧 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗔𝗫𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 To address these challenges, our AXION eyewashes feature a central shower head and integrated flow control, ensuring precise water distribution for effective and reliable first aid. 🧐 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Regularly test your eyewashes to guarantee their functionality in critical moments. 📩 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗫𝗜𝗢𝗡: Curious to explore how AXION eyewashes and safety showers can elevate your emergency response? April 28, 2024. On April 28, the world commemorates the Day for #Safety and #Health at #Work. It is imperative to give precedence to your well-being and safety in the workplace. This can be accomplished by adhering to the following 4 fundamental guidelines to keep yourself on the right track: 1. Prioritize your well-being and safety above all other considerations. Your health should always take precedence in any professional setting. 2. It is crucial to maintain regular medical examinations to monitor your health and detect any potential issues at an early stage. Prevention is always preferable to cure. 3. Establish open lines of communication with your peers and superiors to address any safety and health-related concerns you may have. It is vital to openly discuss these issues and collaborate to find effective solutions. 4. Enforce and ensure that health and safety measures are in place and adhered to where applicable. This encompasses following all safety procedures, wearing appropriate protective equipment, and promptly reporting any hazards or risks. Happy World Health and Safety Day Thank you. ~~Dr. Uchenna Ozoekwe PT MD. #safetyandhealth #healthawarenessday #healthawareness #healthyliving #physio #medico #publichealth #healthcaremanagement

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 **INDIGO'S DAILY SAFETY TOPICS** 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 Respiratory protection -- it might sound like a tactic in a sci-fi thriller, but here in our daily lives, it stands as an irreplaceable protocol in the sphere of occupational safety and health. Imagine a world where workers in certain industries, construction and smoke extraction for instance, face threatening fumes or particles without the necessary protection. The results, frankly, aren’t wildly optimistic. The need for effective respiratory protection is critical. Supporting this statement are numerous studies and pieces of research. Bullet-point one; according to a report by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), respiratory protection helps to prevent nearly 5,000 deaths each year. The need for protective measures is further echoed by the second point; OSHA, in their information guide, highlight the dire and irreversible impacts of exposure to hazardous atmospheres without adequate protection. Lastly, personal testimonies by field workers emphasis on the comfort and assurance that quality respiratory protection provides while in the line of duty. In conclusion, it becomes clear that disregarding the importance of proper respiratory protection isn't an option. As professionals, we have a responsibility towards both ourselves and our colleagues to prioritize safety and wellbeing above all else. Surely, the key to a healthier, safer work environment lies not just in policy implementation but more so in awareness and understanding of its profound importance. Now for some food for thought: 1. How are your company’s respiratory protection measures shaping up? 2. Are they aligning with the national safety standards? #respiratoryprotection#OccupationalSafety #OSHAcompliant #HealthAndSafety #NIOSH #WorkplaceWellbeing 👷♂️👷♀️🛠️💨🌬️🚧🔬🦺
