Teambuilding and trust-building are achieved in a variety of ways. Both are key to a healthy culture. Delegation is one of the easiest ways. By asking for help, we show our colleagues that we trust the quality of their work. What's more - they will observe that it's okay to ask for help! Show colleagues that you need them. Happy hours, carry ins, sports leagues, and other recreational activities are also good ways to build teams. Finding time to laugh and connect is as important as meeting a deadline and hitting that workplace "homerun." Finally, volunteering to serve others is another excellent way to strengthen a team. Our People team is glad to have spent time at The Rescue Mission in November, and at Hope's Harbor and Abbett Elementary School in December. (THANK YOU, to all three organizations, for hosting us!) Bonus tip: Make a little time for fun at work. Get the game "Office Decathlon." Start with "Rubber Band Hole-in-One." Award prizes. Just a few minutes, once a month, is all it takes. Want a better culture? Create better stories. Wishing all (Canadian friends and colleagues) a very Happy Thanksgiving! This has been an amazing and challenging year at Blackthorn Farm. I am so grateful to our pilot year CSA subscribers for their encouragement and patience. There has been so much to learn, but a great satisfaction in getting the first season under our belts. Big lessons: veg growing competencies are cultural (i.e. I can easily grow what my father grew, root veg not so much); Almost everything needs to be under cover; Time to pack boxes is best gift - the most fun part of my week should not be rushed. Next year will be about: extending the season with a poly tunnel; taking time to pack and deliver at a consistent time each week; and adding more info on what's in the box and how to use it. Subscribers love diversity and a vegetable adventure, but appreciate preparation ideas. Better, not bigger.

Celebrating Progress: Embracing the Significance of Small Wins As we navigate our journey towards achieving our goals, it is essential to acknowledge and celebrate the progress we make along the way. While monumental milestones are certainly noteworthy, it is often the small, incremental wins that pave the way for greatness. This week, I had the opportunity to celebrate a significant achievement, being a certified agro-product manager, which served as a poignant reminder of the importance of recognizing and honoring every step forward. Through my participation in the Mentorship Accelerator Program with Future Forward Farmers Hub, I am continually shaping my skills and knowledge to become a climate-smart agripreneur. I invite you to share a win you are celebrating this week. Whether it may seem insignificant or monumental, every achievement deserves recognition and acknowledgment. By sharing our successes, we can create a ripple effect of celebration and encouragement that inspires others to continue striving towards their goals. Please share your win in the comments section below. #FutureForwardFarmersHub #MentorshipAcceleratorProgramWithFFFH #CelebrateProgress #AgribusinessJourney

Reflecting on 2024: The Power of Family Values and Innovation As we approach the end of 2024, I find myself reflecting on what has been an extraordinary year for Grapa. This moment of reflection comes on the heels of a recent office activity, serving as a reminder of one of our core values: family. At Grapa, every new team member quickly learns that family values are at the heart of everything we do. Personally, fostering a family atmosphere in the office is something I care deeply about. That’s why we often take time to come together for fun and meaningful activities, like the one we recently shared in celebration of the New Year and the upcoming holidays. 2024 has once again demonstrated the importance of these values. They are what set us apart. From our humble beginnings as a small family business, Grapa has grown into a global leader in breeding and licensing premium table grape varieties under the ARRA™ and Early Sweet™ brands. Our approach, built on personal connections, technical support, a family-first outlook, and a relentless drive for innovation, has distinguished us in the market and positioned us as a trusted leader in the industry. As we look ahead to 2025, the global table grape industry faces significant challenges: climate volatility, geopolitical shifts, and economic uncertainties. At Grapa, we view these as opportunities to innovate. The ARRA breeding program focuses on creating grape varieties that are resilient, resource-efficient, and adaptable to changing conditions. The resilience of the ARRA genetics and the expanding global footprint of the varieties give us confidence for the future. Grapa remains committed to addressing climate change, market volatility, and resource scarcity, ensuring we continue to lead the way in the table grape industry. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together this year and excited about what lies ahead. Here’s to a bright 2025, filled with opportunities to grow, innovate, and uphold the values that make Grapa unique. #ReflectingOn2024 #FamilyValues #Innovation #Leadership #ARRAGrapes #TableGrapes #ClimateResilience #GlobalBusiness #FamilyBusiness #Teamwork #GrapeBreeding #ResourceEfficiency #2025Goals #Gratitude Grapa Varieties Shachar Karniel Rafi Karniel Nomi Karniel Padan Vered Karniel
