A mini-stroke is a serious situation that requires immediate action. Here's what to do if you suspect a senior loved one is experiencing a mini-stroke: ✅ Call Emergency Services (911): Don't hesitate! Call 911 (or your local emergency number) right away. Every minute counts when it comes to stroke treatment. ✅ Note the Time: Knowing the exact time symptoms began is crucial for medical professionals in assessing the situation and providing proper treatment. ✅ Do Not Give Food or Drink: Someone experiencing a stroke may have difficulty swallowing, so avoid offering food or drinks. ✅ Monitor Symptoms: While waiting for help to arrive, calmly observe the person's condition. Note any changes in symptoms and be ready to share this information with emergency responders. ✅ Stay Calm and Reassure: The situation can be frightening, so stay calm and speak in a reassuring tone. Let the person know help is on the way. Remember: FAST (Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 911) #HarmonyAtHome #SeniorCare #StrokeAwareness #FAST #911
