The Monty Hall Problem: Always switch doors! 🚪🐐🚗 Here's why: Initial Choice: When you initially choose a door, you have a 1/3 chance of selecting the door with the car and a 2/3 chance of selecting a door with a goat. Host's Action: The host knows where the car is. By opening a door with a goat, they are not changing the odds, but giving you valuable information. The Switch: When you switch doors, you're essentially taking advantage of the 2/3 probability that your initial choice was a goat. 🦖 Meet Chompy, Our New Office Mascot! 🦖 Chompy is a cute, cuddly T-Rex, and while he might look adorable, he carries a powerful message for our team. I brought Chompy to the office to remind us of an important lesson. The T-Rex was once a large, ferocious, and much-feared creature. Yet, despite their dominance, they eventually became extinct. This serves as a poignant reminder for us at Heron. Our competitors today may be larger, better-funded, and seemingly more 'attractive', but that doesn’t mean they are unbeatable. Chompy reminds us daily that we can outlast and outshine even the fiercest of competitors with innovation, agility, and determination. We are building something unique and enduring, and no matter the size of the challenge, we are ready to rise above it. I remember something that Christian Gunn, Tom Love and I discussed very early on when I joined LoveGunn. How do we balance a great work culture with a great work ethic? People talk a lot about 'culture' in the workplace, and how we are 'one big family' (plus all the memes - 'come back to the office for the ✨CULTURE✨ empty desks, busy tubes etc) and we all have our own experiences of good, average and bad. During my career, I'm proud to have created some great cultures in my teams, some average, and no doubt have gotten it wrong on occasions. Culture to me, is just like branding. It's not as easy as a quick hit here and there - free pizza on a Friday, or high fives for a job well done. Much like with branding - a new logo isn't the sole driver of a great brand. Culture, as with branding, is everything you say, you do and how you act. All of the time. Culture takes time to build, develop, pivot, grow and maintain. Culture is how people feel and how they would describe their job when their boss isn't in the room. Exactly how people would describe a company to their friends. Being part of LoveGunns culture really is a pleasure. The team clearly enjoy working here, and have relationships that will stand the test of time. Our right from the heart, straight to the point approach is prevalent across our work and our culture. We have areas we can improve on, of course we do, but I hope the video below gives just a small insight into our culture, and some of the outstanding work that the creative team are producing. A massive hats off to Chris, Tom and the whole team for creating the culture that I have the privilege of being a part of. Work ethic sits hand in hand with culture. People want to do a great job because they care. They want to go above and beyond. They care because they are cared about. The results are showcased in fantastic work at every turn. I'm by no means an expert, and these are just my observations. I've managed people, teams and clients for 20 years, and have another 20 odd years to go (ouch). So, at the halfway point...I'm pretty f*cking happy. Now, to answer the question - how do we balance culture with a great work ethic? I'll let the video do the talking....

While the classic suit, inspired by early 20th-century circus strongmen, holds nostalgic value, it feels outdated for an alien hero with advanced technology at his disposal. The modern designs, like the one Civil wore, offer a futuristic look that is both practical and durable, fitting for the Man of Steel's demanding role. Looking through the lens of the past isn't always the reality of the future. People back then had limited perspectives and drew on what they knew. However, our perspective has grown immensely and evolved. It's time we move away from the old-school tights and embrace a suit that truly reflects Superman's extraordinary origins and capabilities.
