Many startups worry about competition but that's a waste of energy, especially if you are a Muslim founder.
The notion of competition assumes finite resources:
Competition for customers..
Competition for funding...
Competition for market share etc
This anxiety is built on the assumption that there is a limited supply of customers, funding, or success and we need to grab as much as possible.
The Prophet (PBUH) taught us: "All actions are but intentions, and everyone gets what they intend".
So if you go into a situation thinking that there aren't enough customers for you and your competitors, that's what you will get.
If you go into a situation thinking you need to reduce prices otherwise you will lose clients to competitors, that's what you will get.
Instead of focusing on competition, focus on your connection with Allah.
As Muslims, we know that everything is possible with God.
Now is the time to act on that knowledge!
Focus on the fact that Allah can bring you an unlimited number of customers without taking anything away from your competition.
Focus that Allah's Bounty and Mercy is infinite and there is no harm in everyone having a successful business.
Focus on all the ways it is a BLESSING that there are multiple competitors in the market and how that helps make the world better.
Focus on that Allah is Merciful and wants the best for EVERYONE (Yes, including your "competition")
Putting our attention on the Creator as opposed to the creation ("oh not another copycat!") not only helps attain the success we seek but also allows us to achieve our goals in peace and tranquility.
The truth of the matter is: there is no such thing as business competition.
The real competition is you vs. You.
Will you listen to your small self or embrace your God-given Self, the one that is connected to Allah?
For if you are walking with Allah, who can stop you?
May Allah's Peace be with you 🤲✨
