As the demand for Copper rises, and average ore grades at major Copper mines throughout the globe continue to diminish, the need for new Copper mines becomes even more evident. Fortunately, the U.S. has solutions within our borders via NewRange Copper Nickel’s NorthMet project, Twin Metals Minnesota LLC’s Proposed Copper-Nickel-Cobalt Mine, and Resolution Copper’s Proposed Copper Mine out of Superior, AZ. However there’s just one huge hurdle all three projects face… Permitting. Both Resolution and NorthMet have been stuck in permitting for well over a decade with Twin Metals Minnesota not even being allowed to continue the environmental review process.
