There are differences between mentoring, training, and coaching/ While training and mentoring are about sharing knowledge from teacher to student or mentor to mentee, coaching is not regulated and, therefore, not well-defined. No consensus exists on the scope, format, method, duration, and frequency of sessions, nor the training needed for practice. In contrast, Emotional Intelligence Executive Coaching for Leadership begins with the EQ-I-2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment, which provides a snapshot of how the client’s results compare to other leaders and insights into leadership strengths and potential areas for development. This instrument examines the client’s results through four dimensions of leadership.
