The Earth has nine planetary boundaries, critical thresholds we must respect to ensure a safe and healthy planet for human development. It’s not just about reducing CO2 emissions. The built environment impacts critical areas like biodiversity, water use, and resource extraction. At the same time, the sector has an incredible opportunity to contribute to the recovery of some boundaries by working smarter and more sustainably. By rethinking how we work, the sector can not only reduce its impact but also contribute to the recovery of some boundaries. 🎥 We’ve created an explainer video to illustrate the role of the built environment within planetary boundaries. Watch it now: https://lnkd.in/dyH6PA2i 💡 Let’s spread the word! Watch the video and share it with your network to inspire action in the construction sector. This video is a result of the research between Metabolic, Copper8 , NIBE experts in sustainability , Alba Concepts .
