While creating a software program, it can be done in two ways– One way is like making a huge Lego castle all stuck together. This is called a "monolithic" approach. The other way is like building with Microservices. Instead of one big castle, you build lots of small units. Each part does something different. One part might show pictures, another might play music, and another might save your favorite games. So, how does it benefit Programmers and end-users, refer to the slides to learn about the advantages of Microservices. Understanding the Event Loop in Flutter - How Flutter handles tasks behind the scenes! Event loop is a fundamental concept that handles the execution of asynchronous operations. Understanding how the event loop works is crucial for building responsive and efficient applications. Event Loop is responsible for managing and executing tasks in an asynchronous manner without blocking the main UI thread. Building a Collaborative Grid with React and Ably This blog post from Ably walks through how to display user selections within a cell in real-time, much like you would in Excel or Google Sheets, using the Ably Spaces SDK. This post touches on handling row selection events, extracting data from those events, and using cell renderers to display user avatars. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4b3fqMG

Create one Studio per ML task and build ML pipelines with our SDK 🤯🤯... Studios go beyond just prototyping! Set up each Studio for an ML task, then use our SDK to orchestrate the pipeline with your favorite scheduler. ML pipelines are super easy with Studios because: - Studios share the same filesystem - Each Studio has a standalone, isolated environment - Studios can submit jobs and more https://lnkd.in/dhCC4z5s

Freelance Augmented Reality Developer Building Apple Vision Pro Apps: Helping clients build spatial computing & AR apps for visionOS and iOS
I made a demo of visionOS 2's Object Tracking capabilities. The code is open source and can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gnN4Sy5j Object tracking currently has many limitations but there are countless use cases for software to recognize things around us – and how close we are to those things. The code is written in Swift and uses visionOS 2, ARKit, RealityKit, and Reality Composer Pro. I wrote more about building this demo over here: https://lnkd.in/gGcTRFTa #augmentedreality #spatialcomputing

Design a scalable and highly available real-time gaming leaderboard ⚡ This is the 5th video in the Rockset Database Internals Series. In this one, I thought of designing a Realtime Gaming Leaderboard and the architecture is similar to what companies ship to production. Apart from the actual design, I also shared the thought process behind every design decision helping you build the right intuition and understanding the read/write path separation framework. give it a watch - youtu.be/UerkzwZ_zSY Here are all the videos of the series, give them a watch, but they are not a pre-requisite for today's video. 1. Architecture deep-dive - youtu.be/I4eEEAgoCig 2. Converged Indexes - youtu.be/xGaUJTHuehQ 3. Query Execution - youtu.be/HWeTVy5i9vE 4. Zero data latency at scale - youtu.be/DF8BbwtEa7k 5. Designing Realtime Gaming Leaderboard - youtu.be/UerkzwZ_zSY ⚡ I keep writing and sharing my practical experience and learnings every day, so if you resonate then follow along. I keep it no fluff. #AsliEngineering #SystemDesign #DatabaseInternals #Rockset

Recently used shadcn for a project I am working on(will share when complete) and I think shadcn offers some cool benefits. 1. Shadcn has a pretty cool CLI(command line interface) tool 2. It lets you install just the components you need 3. The code lives in your codebase rather than the node_modules so you can update styles pretty easily making it customizable. 4. Built on TailwindCSS and radix UI 5. The default styles are sleek and have a lot of cool components built in like drawer, resizable to name a few So far has been a pretty fun experience and this truly seems to be the future of UI building. #softwaredevelopment #webdevelopment Image from Google
