This year’s theme is ‘Planet vs Plastics’ which aims to bring awareness to the harms of plastics pollution and calls for a 60% reduction in the production of all plastics by 2040. #NDY recognises that plastics and the other massive environmental challenges facing us, like climate change, can only be addressed through collective commitment and efforts. This commitment is embedded in our vision - 'to lead in the creation of a high-performance built environment that fosters thriving communities and secures a sustainable future' - and reflected in the way we deliver our work as we seek to lift the bar and deliver more sustainable buildings. Our CEO, John H. Chuang, set an ambitious goal: to become the first major company in our industry to go carbon negative and work to erase Aquent's entire 35-year carbon footprint. Being carbon negative means not just reducing our emissions to zero (carbon neutral) but actively removing more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than we produce. Choosing Aquent means you’re reducing the carbon footprint of your supply chain.
