It’s always easy to find a reason why something CAN’T be done. From the simplest “I’m running late so I’ll make the bed later” all the way to more impactful (and valid) challenges to #apprenticeship expansion and participation such as: Time, distance, transportation, administrative burden, lack of mentor, lack of funding, and the list goes on.
All are valid and real hurdles to face but all of those can also be overcome with smart collaboration and creativity amongst employers, workforce boards, apprenticeship navigators and the candidates themselves, including getting more creative and focused in creating and targeting more specialized apprenticeship roles, and precisely targeting employer candidates with a compelling need:benefit scenario.
This week’s #EconoVue use case illustrates an apprenticeship development opportunity that was successful because it was very precisely targeted to connect the “golden triangle” of employer + position + candidate.
National Apprenticeship Week is just 23 days away. How's your program growing?
#WorkforceBoards (WDBs) play a key role in connecting #YoungAdults to #Internship opportunities. This week's use case highlights how a business partnership offered #SkilledTraining for young adults and incentivized local businesses to become internship partners. EconoVue is proud to support WDBs across the county to accelerate business engagement with the companies that could benefit most from internships.
