This week on Tuesday I had the opportunity to job shadow Lathika Gopalakrishnan, Ph.D. and learn about her research and a day in a lab. I thank MET Professional Academy and Barrow Neurological Institute for giving me this wonderful opportunity and also Lathika Gopalakrishnan, Ph.D. for showing me around.
Thank you Brayden Campbell for sharing about your journey at the MET Professional Academy. The MET Professional Academy provides high school students from Peoria Unified School District with a opportunity to experience an innovative learning model that empowers students to fast-forward into their future. Students are still able to register for the 24-25 school year.
In the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. When I heard about the MET Academy, I was very hesitant to enroll because I didn't think I would meet the qualifications. However, getting accepted to the MET has had a big influence on me. It has gotten me to engage with others who are interested in the same things as me, and has helped me find what I want to do with the rest of my life. Thank you MET Professional Academy for changing my life for the better!!!
