The contractors that scale the fastest (and become the largest) hire people to "own" specific responsibilities and processes in the building cycle- not an entire project. You're probably thinking: "Yeah, no sh*t Isaac". But you'd be amazed at how many 10-15 year companies I talk to that have hit a ceiling for this very reason.
