I didnt know that Dietary Supplements are treated as Food from the regulations perspective; I thought the Supplements I take have been tested for safety, potency and efficacy; Shocking discovery: they are NOT. and this is a global regulation gap. Dietary Supplements are governed by Food Regulations, NOT drugs. we pay less than €10 for a pack of paracetamol and we know it will work as it stated on the label( drug efficacy). We could pay over €30 for a Vitamin; but we don't know if they works... Don't buy Supplements/Vitamin if they have not been tested. Spend the money on organic foods, wild fish, fresh milk, meat instead. If you are taking Supplements, look for #SupplementCertified logo! Supplement Certified.
