Comment “DAILY” and get daily surprises to your email! —— Let me tell you the seagull story you didn’t know you needed! Yesterday, I was sitting with my girlfriends who came to visit, and I noticed something I hadn’t seen in a while—seagulls flying right above my house. I’ve missed them! I love watching them, and it felt like they were putting on a show just for us. Naturally, we started chatting about seagulls (don’t ask me how we got there—it just happened!). Did you know seagulls mate for life? But here’s the funny part - when a male seagull loses his mate, he goes back to the same spot where they met, like he’s waiting for her to magically reappear. Meanwhile, the female seagull? She’s already out there looking for a new mate. She’s like, “Alright, next chapter!” 🕊️ It made me laugh because it kind of reminds me of how we deal with change. Sometimes we hang onto the familiar, hoping things will go back to how they were. Other times, we’re ready to move forward, find a new path, and make things happen. And honestly, business isn’t all that different. If you keep circling back to the same old strategies, hoping they’ll work like before, you could be missing out on better opportunities. Sometimes, you’ve got to shake things up and try new ways to grow. So, don’t keep going back to the same “beach.” Be open to new ideas and keep moving forward. You never know what amazing things could come your way. #DailySurprises #SeagullStory #LifeLessons #EmbraceChange #BusinessGrowth #Inspiration #MindsetMatters #NewOpportunities #NatureInspiration #Seagulls #MotivationMonday #PersonalGrowth #ChangeIsGood #KeepMovingForward

“Until the lion tells the story, the hunter will always be the hero” In #life, there are often many #perspectives - each contributing to #success in it’s own way. Often, we hear from those who share their their stories confidently. But what about the tiger (the quieter voices)? The one who hustled in the shadows, dodged a few arrows, and kept pushing forward without the fanfare? Sure, the hunter gets the trophy, but the tiger…well, the tiger gets wiser. 🐅 #Resilience over recognition: The tiger’s story is the one of #persistence, of falling seven times but getting up eight (even if it’s with a slight limp). #Success isn’t always about standing on the podium; sometimes it’s just about surviving another day and learning a few tricks in the process. 🤔 #Change the lens: What if we shifted our #focus from who won to who grew? The real heroes aren’t always the ones with medals, but the ones who keep showing up, scars and all. 📚 Time for a rewrite: #Life isn’t just about collecting trophies—it’s about collecting #lessons as well. So next time you celebrate the hunter, give a nod to the tiger too. After all, while the hunter writes history, the tiger writes a legacy of quiet #resilience (and maybe some epic near-miss stories). Lets make space for every story to be told - because even everyone’s perspective is heard and valued, we all grow stronger #together #Perspective #Resilience #RewriteTheNarrative #TigerTales #Leadership #LifeLessons #InclusiveWorkplaces #DiversePerspectives

A lesson from a giraffe: Be uniquely YOU This month, I had the chance to meet a giraffe up close for the first time and I ended up learning so many interesting facts about these majestic animals. For instance, giraffes spend most of their lives standing up; they even sleep and give birth standing up. It's fascinating to think about how these animals have adapted to their environment in such a unique way. They only need 5 to 30 minutes of sleep in a day. This extraordinary trait allows them to remain vigilant and responsive to their surroundings. Witnessing these unique characteristics (as their completely unique pattern of spots) inspired me to reflect on the importance of embracing our own uniqueness. Just as the giraffe stands tall and proud, we too can stand out by being true to ourselves and celebrating what makes us different. So, why do we keep hiding this uniqueness? Inspired by this encounter, I started asking my colleagues and others in my professional circle: What draws you to others in the workplace? What makes you want to work with or for someone? What makes you trust someone? They said one of the top characteristics is someone’s ability to inspire others and be infectious. So, what makes you uniquely you? #BeUniquelyYou #Inspiration #EmbraceYourUniqueness #StandOut #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture

This is a cool place, respect it Embracing the Unknown at Joshua Tree On one of my family vacations, we went to Joshua Tree. I was hesitant to go, as I am not crazy about the desert. Sand, heat, and cacti – not exactly my idea of a good time. But, as they say, life begins at the end of your comfort zone. So, armed with sunscreen and a questionable sense of adventure, I took the plunge with my family. To my surprise, Joshua Tree was nothing short of magical. The surreal landscapes, the quirky Joshua trees, and the star-studded skies at night – it was like stepping into another world. I found myself embracing the beauty of the desert, and even (gasp!) enjoying it. This experience got me thinking about leadership. Just like my initial hesitation to visit Joshua Tree, we often face new challenges with a sense of trepidation. But stepping into the unknown can lead to unexpected rewards. Embracing new leadership roles, much like embracing the desert, can reveal strengths and opportunities we never knew existed. So, here’s to venturing into uncharted territories, both in nature and in our careers. Who knows? You might just find your own Joshua Tree moment. As the sign in the picture says... this is a cool place, respect it. In the comments below - tell me about how you have stepped into the unknown and gained insights or opportunities you never knew existed... #Leadership #EmbraceTheUnknown #JoshuaTree #DesertAdventures #CareerGrowth #MillersMusings #JamesDwayneGroup

I saw this today and thought it was very apt. The photo shows a fast race between dogs and a cheetah, with the goal to see who was the fastest. Surprisingly, the cheetah didn't budge from its place. When asked what happened, the race coordinator replied: "Sometimes trying to prove that you are the best is an insult. We don't need to go down to the level of others to show our strength. Think carefully and save your energy for what you deserve. The cheetah uses its speed only to hunt, not to prove to the dogs that it is the fastest and strongest." I've seen so many posts recently of people trying to prove they're better than others. Does it really matter, and who's really listening? #Leadership #Wisdom #SelfAwareness #EnergyManagement #StayFocused #Confidence #KnowYourWorth #ProfessionalGrowth #WorkplaceWisdom #Inspiration #ThoughtLeadership
