Here's the thing: Even if you enjoy your job, is this really the work you were meant to be doing? Our talents and abilities are more than just hobbies. They're our life's calling; they're who we are as people 👨👩👧👦. And that means if we aren't living out our true calling, we're wasting an incredible opportunity to grow personally and professionally. When we ignore our true calling, it's tough to feel fulfilled 🙌. And that can lead to frustration and discontent with the work we're doing. If we instead figure out a way to leverage our unique talents and abilities and turn them into a career we find meaningful, we'll be able to be the best versions of ourselves as leaders and as people 💪.

My Rainy Day Reflection: I stumbled across this quote and it made me think about this truth in my own life. Based on my journey here is what I have discovered to be true: 💰financial success and business achievements feel great in the moment, but seem trivial in the moments thereafter. 🚤 accruing things that you thought would make your life better, more fun or more exciting also lose their luster soon after acquiring them. ☕️meaningful experiences, true friendships and authentic connections to better yourself and the world are far more fulfilling than 💵 Let’s put this to practice this week as we embark on our jobs: - people > profit - compassion > compensation - teamwork > title

Thought of sharing a post which I came across, there is a simple way to identify your unique talents, passions, strengths and move towards excellence. There is no overnight hack though, but let's believe in ourselves and move forward with courage. "The four zones of work" *The Zone of Incompetence: This zone includes tasks that you're not skilled at and don't enjoy doing. **The Zone of Competence: In this zone, you have the necessary skills to perform tasks, but you don't necessarily enjoy them. ***The Zone of Excellence: Here, you have developed a high level of skill in certain tasks, and you enjoy doing them. However, these tasks may not necessarily align with your passions or natural abilities. ****The Zone of Genius: This zone includes tasks that utilize your unique talents, passions, and strengths, and bring you a deep sense of joy and fulfillment.

😎Dearest and most respected friends, peers and colleagues that take on the daunting and often unsung task of recruitment, talent management, scouting, human resources, personnel and career advancement mentors -- Let's get those eager, enthusiastic and fearless applicants of all ages hired, ya?! Waiting for Superman, Santa and (pick your favorite heroes) to apply was our style in America over the last 10 years -- And we're still waiting for them. Lessons learned. Instead, let's give the opportunity, of any age, to those ready for duty, ready to grow, ready to learn and put their best foot forward without hesitation and with the joy to take all of our vast professions and industries to levels we have not experienced in decades, and more so, to levels that should aim for exceeding the markers of excellence from the past. We'll teach, and we'll learn, hand in hand. Teacher-Student-Life, step and repeat. The work doesn't need to begin with perfection, it only needs the fighting chance to push the new envelope of perfection. So, keep those eyes open for recommendations, referrals and a boatload of hungry souls coming your way, please. ;) Have an extraordinary week. -a

I was recently thinking about a phrase I’m sure all of us are familiar with: “Fake it ‘til you make it.” I used to be a fan of that, but I’ve been reflecting on it lately. On the one hand, I completely understand why this idea is so commonplace. It’s meant to encourage hard work and grit, two valuable qualities that’ll never go out of style. But I take issue with the “fake it” part, especially when I think about my role and responsibilities as a leader. Our job is to be our people’s champion — to support them so they can stretch, grow, and build careers they’re passionate about. In other words, part of our job is to help our colleagues “make it,” whatever that might look like for them. If they feel like they have to fake it, I think we’re losing an opportunity to build a productive, transparent relationship with our people. Building those connections takes a daily commitment, but it’s worth it. Our people will know they have someone in their corner, someone they can turn to for advice and guidance as they chase their passions. And often, we’ll learn just as much from them as they will from us. Together, we’ll find new ways to make the career we want.

Commitment: The Cornerstone of Professional Excellence In the professional world, commitment is more than just a promise—it’s a critical element that defines your character and shapes your career trajectory. In an era where responsiveness and reliability are often compromised for convenience, staying true to your word sets you apart. When you agree to something, ensure that you deliver on it with integrity and consistency. This approach will not only enhance your credibility but also strengthen the trust others place in you.
