CCR's involvement in the DREAMS project, led by FAME Ecosystem, concluded with the recent release of the Handbook of Additive Manufacturing (AM) adoption. Collaborating with Taina Eriksson, I take pride in our achievements and the valuable insights gained throughout this journey. Exploring the realm of AM technology has been an intriguing experience, and I'm hopeful it will inspire further exploration in the future. The handbook underscores the importance of adopting a strategic mindset and embracing the broader perspective of AM for organizational success. It highlights AM adoption as a significant investment with the potential to create new capabilities and business opportunities. Recognizing proven practices, it stresses the need for careful selection of AM pilot projects based on clear business needs and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The handbook also addresses challenges, particularly the lack of AM knowledge within organizations, emphasizing the necessity of fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Additionally, it highlights the importance of investing in upskilling and reskilling, managerial support, and finding AM champions for a successful early-stage implementation process.
