JAKARTA REACHES INTERNATIONAL MICE STANDARDS According to ICCA (International Congress & Convention Association) research results, Jakarta deserves to be said to be an existing internationally competitive destination for MICE This is reinforced by Jakarta's consistent inclusion in the ICCA ranking order. What’s the reason? 1. Has an international airport with direct flights to dozens of cities. 2. Hundreds of tourist attractions and hundreds of star notels. 3. Meeting facilities that can accommodate more than 10 thousand people 4. Active stakeholder support from BPPD, INCCA, SIPCO, Tourism Office, Professional Associations and Industry Associations. 5. Exhibition venue with international standards. 6. Availability of professional human resources. 7. Adequate infrastructure, including international hospitals and other services. #INAMICE #Event #JakartaGlobalCity #Conference #NationalConference

Read up our latest edition of the Pear Anderson weekly report (week ending 17th March 2024) which tracks the recovery of the Southeast Asian tourism industry. Key development from last week include: 📰 With Easter, Eid and Songkran all on the horizon, the region has high hopes for tourism, as the Philippine aviation scene ramps up for at least 10% more pax, Indonesia forecasts a massive 194 mil people will travel over Eid and the Tat forecasts 24 bil THB in revenue over Songkran. 📰 However, high domestic airfares remain a hindrance to domestic travel over the festive period - to counter this, Thailand has implemented a 20% discount on 104 additional flights over Songkran. Indonesia's Sandiaga Uno says it will take 350 more planes in Indonesian fleets to bring down fares. 📰 The Philippines is gunning to surpass Singapore for its place as the second largest casino hub in Asia after Macau, with 9 potential projects planned and a targeted gross gaming revenue of $3 bil USD. Meanwhile, Thailand once again debates whether it should legalise casinos. Want the full report? https://lnkd.in/gjKpwpNc 🔍 Shift in Perspective: 👉 Previous Comments: "Having helmed the Tourism DG portfolio for 30 years and after the opening of borders and now full swing in travels, what planning and execution was being done for 2024? Where’s the Malaysia, Truly Asia campaign in 2023, 2024? Why more Chinese tourists visit Thailand over Malaysia? Where was the plan to address poor travels to Langkawi after Kedah CM blew it up? It will be interesting to watch Keluar Sekejap on this issue.. the demotion is justified. Also, look at the way SG pulled the Taylor Swift tour, the discussions were done 2 years ago! Look at the economic benefits, they anticipated and acted on it .. we got Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and others. Question is was there any input from the Tourism board or were they private entertainment companies initiative?" 🔄 Shift in Perspective: "Look into the personal performance of the DG instead of the numbers of tourists coming in which may not be attributed by DG. The high numbers may be due to other personnels involved in tourism." 🤔 Understanding the Shift: The shift in perspective from focusing solely on individual performance to considering broader contextual factors reflects a fascinating psychological phenomenon known as attribution bias. While it's important to hold leaders accountable, it's equally crucial to recognize the collective efforts of the entire tourism sector. 💡 Positive Development: This shift demonstrates a capacity for critical thinking and a willingness to consider alternative explanations beyond initial impressions. By fostering a balanced approach, we can drive constructive dialogue and positive change within the tourism industry. 🌐 Join the Conversation: What are your thoughts on this shift in perspective? How can we strike a balance between holding leaders accountable and recognizing broader contextual factors? 🌟 Transforming Visions into Realities 🌟 Hello LinkedIn community! 👋 As we wave goodbye to an exhilarating 2023, I can't help but reflect on my journey that began in May when I joined the incredible team at GlobalTix. Yes, I might have been a bit late to the party 🎉, but oh, what a party it has been! At GlobalTix, we don't just create connections; we build communities. Communities where products don't just exist but thrive, and where visions aren't just dreamt but realized. Our mantra, "Building a community where products meet platforms, and visions meet possibilities," isn't just a tagline; it's the core of everything we do. This year has been a testament to our dedication and passion. We've seen phenomenal growth, groundbreaking innovations, and partnerships that have redefined industry standards. #GlobalTix #Innovation #CommunityBuilding #Expansion #TechInTravel #NewBeginnings #2024Vision #travelindustry #outboundtravel #indiantourism #traveltrade #traveltrends2024
2023 wrap because our investors are watching this space 👀 This year has been all about getting things done. We've grown our marketplace exponentially (we now have over 150k products!) making us 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 one of the largest distribution platforms in the world. We also broke a new record of issuing over 10 million tickets globally. We have also been appointed as the official ticketing partner for world-class attractions such as Taman Safari Indonesia and, recently, Mount Faber Leisure Group. Plus, we're proud to have flown the Singapore flag high as the official ticketing partner of #SingapoRewards, making it possible for tourists to experience hidden gems in Singapore. We’ve also snagged multiple awards along the way, which tells you we’re not playing. We also turned 10 this year, expanded our operations to 10 offices worldwide, and welcomed over 100 team members to our global family. Most importantly, we want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing community of partners turned friends! Your passion continues to inspire us every day, and your unwavering support has made all of this year's achievements possible. Our journey thus far has been humbling, but this is just the beginning — stay tuned for 2024! #globaltix #traveltechnology #channelmanager #tourism

Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has introduced several initiatives to enhance #sustainability in the meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (#MICE) sector, fortifying its status as a ‘World’s Best MICE City’. Key efforts include the #LegacyToolkit, a Singapore #MICE Industry Carbon and Waste Baselining Study that aims for #carbonneutral participation at international tradeshows. The Legacy Toolkit assists #eventorganizers in designing impactful business events. It includes case studies and encourages #collaboration with local organizations like the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Center. Additionally, the #MICEIndustry Carbon and Waste Baseline exercise establishes #sustainabilitymetrics focusing on #energy, #water, and #waste. This data helps #STB monitor and update #carbonemission baselines, fostering #wastereduction and #decarbonization strategies. According to Yap Chin Siang, Deputy Chief Executive, #STB, these initiatives aim to guide the #MICE industry toward #sustainability and provide practical means for event organizers to create lasting benefits in Singapore. The board also targets #carbonneutral participation at major international #MICEevents starting in 2024, including IMEX Frankfurt, IMEX America, and IBTM World. These efforts showcase the country’s commitment to #sustainablepractices in the #MICEsector. https://lnkd.in/dDf8xN2T
