A warehouse lot in South Miami might be the last place one would expect to find artisanal French baked goods being made daily, but this hidden location didn't stop Casa Bake from selling out of pastries by 9 a.m. on a weekday. Yes, nine o'clock in the morning. Newly opened artisanal French bakery Casa Bake, located at 7165 SW 47th St., has gone viral overnight after New Times' Best Influencer 2024 Mr. Eats 305 shared a Reel on his Instagram raving about the bakery. On June 19, just a few hours after he shared his review of himself enjoying its chocolate almond croissant dusted in powdered sugar, people immediately began flocking to the bakery. Serious business right here! 🤣 Well done gents and well done Soho Coffee as the first coffee chain to offer soft baked cookies with just 1g sugar that are also fortified with protein that don't contain anything artificial (colours, flavours or preservatives). Lowering sugar consumption (according to research) is the number one barrier to snacking so JNCK now provide an alternative choice. I'm all up for the odd bit of full on indulgence but I also try to eat better too. Live is about balance right? Choice is good. #lowsugar #lowsugarcookies #healthysnack #lowcalorie
We've got some news brewing... ☕ JNCK Bakery has officially landed at SOHO Coffee Co.!!! Pair your latte with a JNCK cookie now in SOHO Coffee London locations, (silly milk moustache optional). Don't forget to ask for yours warm to get the perfect texture - crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the middle. It's enough to make you forget it's 90% less sugar. ☕🍪 ☕🍪

Nothing feels more indulgent than a buttery, flaky croissant - filled to the brim with rich, luxurious smoked salmon and a slathering of cream cheese👌🏽 But what are the origins of this French icon? 🌙 Its very name refers to its shape, 'croissant' literally meaning crescent. 🍞 No one knows who invented the modern-day croissant, but it's origins are said to be inspired by the Austrian Kipferl bread. 🥚 There are only 8 ingredients in a traditional croissant: Butter, flour, water, milk, yeast, sugar, salt and egg. 🤑 Traditionally, only the rich ate croissant - because ingredients were too expensive! It wasn't until 19th century when the cost of these ingredients became more affordable that the average family would eat croissants. 🧁 In France, croissant is referred to as a Viennoiserie. This translates as 'of Vienna' and refers to the difference in baking techniques to traditional pastries such as eclairs. 🧈 Why are there curved croissants and straight croissants? Curved croissants use butter, while the straight version contain margarine. Who knew?? How do you like yours? #nationalcroissantday 🥐

Have you ever wondered why it's called a 'Pineapple Bun' (菠蘿包) when there's no pineapple inside? 🍍🥐 The 'Pineapple Bun,' also known as 'Bo Luo Bao' (for Mandarin), or 'bo lo bao' (for Cantonese) is a sweet pastry from Hong Kong that first appeared in the 1940s. But why is it called a Pineapple Bun? 🤔 The Pineapple Bun is a sweet bun with eggs, flour, and sugar. It gets its name from the visual resemblance of its crispy crust and golden-brown top to the texture and pattern of a pineapple's outer skin. 🍍🍞 The pineapple bun is still very popular in cities that Chinese reside around the world, with urban bakeries producing up to 3,000 rolls daily. In 2014, the Hong Kong government even recognized the art of making pineapple buns as part of "Intangible Cultural Heritage." 🎉🇭🇰 Let me know in the comments if you've ever tried a Pineapple Bun and if you're a fan! 🍞💛 #CulturalHeritage #FoodHistory #PineappleBun #HongKongCuisine #Bakery #Pastry #FoodLovers #CulinaryTradition #SweetTreats #Foodie #GlobalCuisine

A #Napoleon cake, also known as #millefeuille or #VanillaSlice, is a classic #dessert that consists of layers of puff pastry and creamy pastry cream. In this video, a crispy Napoleon cake is being sliced. Different from classic Napoleon cakes, a crispy Napoleon cake focuses on achieving a crisp texture throughout the cake. The puff pastry layers are baked until they are extra crisp and golden brown. A crispy Napoleon cake emphasizes the contrast between the crispy pastry layers and the creamy filling, creating a dessert that is both light and satisfyingly crunchy. The challenge in cutting a crispy cake is that the layers may break apart during cutting. An #ultrasonic cutter can solve this problem. The high-frequency vibration on the blades makes it easy to cut through the layers without cracking them, and at the same time, the cream won't stick to the blades. #cakecuttingmachine #cakeslicingmachine #cakecutter #cakeslicer #commercialmachine #bakeryequipment #industrialmachine #bakingindustry #ultrasoniccuttingmachine #bakery #pastry #confectionery #cuttingtool #foodie #cakes

Golden Bread Rule #1: Always follow the bakery delivery man. Not sure what the other Golden Bread Rules are... I may well be making them up over the coming days (or not), but let's focus on rule #1 right now. Imagine yourself sitting in a coffee shop run by a bakery. You love the pastry. The coffee is good. Sitting outside, you notice a delivery van stopping right there. Lots of baskets of freshly baked pastry and sandwich breads are being carried past you into the coffee shop. Nothing out of the ordinary. And you are right. But STOP! Where does the bakery delivery man go with those two bags full of burger buns? Hmmm... that is a burger place next to the bakery's coffee shop. Connecting the dots? A burger place caring about their buns is likely to care about everything else. After all, the quality of a burger heavily depends on the quality of the bun. Always follow the bakery delivery man. He leads you to the places that care about bread. Those caring about their bread also care about everything else. #portfoliohuman #fooddots #goldenbreadrule

When we are asked to explain The 6 'I's® of innovation, we talk about mindsets, purpose, and each of the attributes an idea must go through to become value generating and real from the original concept. Time spent in the “improve” space can be rapidly value generating, as lessons and observations from earlier projects can inform the new - or perhaps through a “10 R’s” process, simplification can bring the value. Want to know more? Give us a shout 😊 #mindset #improve #value #npd #innovation
We've given the classic Hot Cross Bun a foodie makeover by combining it with a Christmas favourite - say hello to the Hot Cross Bunettone, only at Waitrose & Partners! This delicious product is crafted by a family-run bakery in Piedmont in Italy, the bunettone is spiced Italian cake made with sultanas, butter, candied orange and lemon peel with a sachet of icing sugar and a stencil for customers to decorate with at home. We’ve seen a huge trend over the past few years of people buying into the slightly lighter eat, but still looking for nostalgic holiday favourites, and we’ve definitely seen that with panettone. If you strip everything back from a panettone, it’s yeasted dough and delicious dried fruits - it’s basically exactly the same as a hot cross bun. So we wanted to have the hybrid of bringing two products together, but being able to have that sharing and fun element as well. A real joy to bring this one to life with Serena Jackson, Sarah Davies, our Bakery dream team and our wonderful supplier partners.
