This week's #WaterChampions are the business support team duo of Stacie Notick and Daisy Piedra Barrera. The pair help the Constructions Services Unit complete critical projects that allow Metropolitan to deliver reliable water to #SoCal.
Stacie and Daisy are the foundation of the Construction Services Unit business support team at Lake Mathews Reservoir. The unit’s primary responsibility is to support operations and engineering when there are unforeseen risks to Metropolitan's infrastructure.
CSU consists of several teams of skilled professionals, including carpenters, welders, electricians, and crane and equipment operators. To maintain operational readiness, they perform a wide array of construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation tasks.
These services depend on business transactions handled by Stacie and Daisy, which include the management of requisition submissions, drafting of vendor contracts, and providing budget insight for projects.
Recently, Stacie and Daisy coordinated rental equipment, and provided personnel support and processing for key Metropolitan initiatives, including the Lake Mathews Dam repair, the Diemer Heli-hydrant project, and the Weymouth Water Quality Laboratory building electrical upgrade.
