Congratulation to our new Ohio Senator Jon Husted! As Lt Gov he spoke to the NUCA of OHIO chapter at our annual golf outing in 2022. Our president Jim Weist met with Lt Gov Husted at Goyal Industries in Mansfield, Ohio (pictured below). Sen. Husted has been a major champion for the trades and vocational education. I can remember his story of a 3rd grader welding a simple piece metal piece with the help of a junior New Lexington High School in Ohio. We got a good one!

Practicing SCBA assembly and donning in blindfolded drills helps sharpen muscle memory, build confidence, and prepare for real-world scenarios.'' Here’s how we do it: ✅ Familiarize yourself with the SCBA components by touch. ✅ Assemble and don the gear blindfolded, step by step. ✅ Test for a proper seal and regulator connection. ✅ Repeat the process until it becomes second nature. This skill isn't just a drill—it's a lifeline in critical moments. #FireSafety #EmergencyResponse #SCBAPractice #ProfessionalGrowth #PPE

Class: Holly Details & Registration: https://bit.ly/3ATnLEY Date: Tuesday | October 1, 2024 Class Duration: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Fee: $35.00 Instructor: Diane Quirk, Stripology Certified Instructor Skill Level Required to Register: Very Confident Beginner - Intermediate Class Summary: This is one of my favorite quilts from the new book ”Stripology Quickies” and it was the first one I made after purchasing the book. In making this quilt, we’ll work on piecing skills to help you match those triangle points, work on block construction, then finish with some quilt assembly tips. Scrappy would be a great option for this quilt. Fabric requirements are listed as either half yards or fat quarters but, if you want to add even more variety, you could use fat eighths (9” x 21”) as well.
