I gotta say its very odd. They can put together an AI act in days/months, but when it comes to passing laws for censorship, gun laws, and just about anything else that is super important for everyone. They say there is process and huge amount of red tape which lasts decades and goes in circles.
Im sure there is an expert here that could pop up a swegmented risk analysis by potential damage, with assesment as to what can be done to bolt the gate again,

6moDoubt this will work at all. AI is already too advanced and pays no attention to lawmakers. All it needs is some bad people to start using AI for bad reasons and there will be nothing to be done. It is probably already happening.
