🚩 Monster by Name In May 2015, at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este near Lake Como, the Mostro powered by Maserati was debuted. The Mostro was designed and built by the famous coachbuilder Zagato. This wonderful creation celebrated two momentous occasions. The first was the 100th anniversary of Maserati. The second commemorates the famous racing car, the Maserati 450 S Coupé Zagato Monster. The Maserati 450S was a classic sports and racing car driven by some greats, including Juan Miguel Fangio, Stirling Moss and Carroll Shelby. Zagato has a history with Maserati; it built the legendary 1957 Maserati 450S Coupé, which Stirling Moss commissioned and raced. The 450S was known as 'il Mostro' (the Monster) and thought to be the most powerful front-engined racing car in the world into the 1990s. Zagato only created nine; of these, only the Costin Zagato was turned into a road-going GT car. Regarding the 'new' Mostro, only five were built and fitted with a naturally aspirated Maserati 4.2 litre V8 engine producing an estimated 460bhp. The Mostro'sdoors opened upwards, unlike any other Maserati. The five Zagato-created Mostros were all offered to existing Zagato clients. Pricing has never been disclosed!

2004-2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale/MC12 Versione Corses Supercar… With mythical excellence…the Maserati MC12 model represents the finest in Italian technology, engineering, speed and design superiority…bringing racing back to the brand after a 37 year hiatus. The end goal was always the 12 blue/white extremely intimidating track-only Versione Corsa racers…while simultaneously building 50 similar bodied road-going sport GTs for homologation of the racing versions. The cars stunning shell was refined by the brilliant Giorgetto Giugiaro and Frank Stephenson. Only 62 total units were produced…25 cars in 2004 prior to FIA regulation changes requiring length reduction for all racers…and an additional 25 in 2005 with a shorter 150 mm length reduction. With extensive wind tunnel trials…many runs were completed by famous racer Michael Schumacher at the Fiorano Circuit. Under the guidance of Giorgio Ascanelli the MC12 racers entered FIA and the American LeMans Series in late 2004. The remarkable MC12 won 40 of the 94 races it participated in…and stormed to victory scoring 2nd & 3rd place during its debut in the FIA Series. Somewhat unknown to the public…Ferrari and its sister company Maserati shared a congenial work relationship for many decades. Although slightly slower…the MC12 is often compared to the Ferrari Enzo. The Ferrari has a top speed of 217 MPH: crisper acceleration: and shorter braking distance. However, the MC12 proved faster around Nurburgring due to its dynamic cornering and sleeker aerodynamics. A total of 400 Enzos’ units were built at a price of $600,000…compared to the rarer MC12 with 62 units priced at $810,000…with the Versione Corsa racer at a staggering $1,500.000 back in 2004. The MC12 is fitted with a reengineered Ferrari F140 V-12 which sits mid-rear for stability. It shares the exact windscreen as the Enzo…and a 6-speed sequential gearbox tuned to different gear ratios…serving up a shift time of only 150 milliseconds. The MC12 has much lower drag coefficient: is longer: wider: slightly taller: a sharper chiseled nose cone: and wears more graceful lines than the Enzo. The MC12s greater size and massive rear 2 meter spoiler creates more downforce. Its aluminum sub-chassis is dressed in a honeycomb monocoque of carbon and nomex: roll cage: double wishbone suspension: and push rod coil springs. The front of the car can be raised with the push of a button. The cars width measures 83 inches: length is 202 inches: height is 47 inches: and it sits with a curb weight of 3,300 lbs. The 6000 cc DOHC V-12 engine pumps 624 HP at 7500 RPM: 481 lb-ft of torque: 0-60 in 3.5 seconds: reaching 124 MPH in 9.9 seconds: with a top speed of 205 MPH…and remains one of the most powerful naturally aspirated cars ever built. Today the stunning versions of the rare MC12 collectibles are averaging $4million. They represent a milestone in the history books as the fastest Maserati ever built and rank as one of the best race cars of the 2000 era.

The Ferrari 250 GTO is a grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into the FIA's Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. It was powered by Ferrari's Tipo 168/62 Colombo V12 engine. The "250" in its name denotes the displacement in cubic centimeters of each of its cylinders; "GTO" stands for Gran Turismo Omologato, Italian for "Grand Touring Homologated". Just 36 of the 250 GTOs were manufactured between 1962 and 1964. This includes 33 cars with 1962–63 bodywork (Series I) and three with 1964 (Series II) bodywork similar to the Ferrari 250 LM. Four of the older 1962–1963 (Series I) cars were updated in 1964 with Series II bodies. . . . . #LuxuryDriving #IconicConnection #250GTO #restomod #monaco #lifestyle #fastcars #legend #legendary #billionaire #millionaire #millionairemindset #goals #luxurycars #lemans #lifestyle #dreams #followyourdreams #community #heritage #oldschool #vintage #classic #classiccar

Maserati Monday 🔱. Maserati's nickname, appropriately, is ‘Il Tridente. ' Maserati made racing cars starting in 1926. Their business: blisteringly fast race cars. During the 1956 F1 season, the Maserati 250F won eight races. A total of 24 cars were built at Maserati’s plant in Santa Vittoria d'Alba, Italy. The 250F was also successful in endurance racing. In 2006, Christie's sold this 1956 Maserati 250F for $4,620,000 with its original engine and gearbox still intact. It is one of the only two remaining versions of the car with an original body that still exists today. The 250F’s high-performance engine and advanced aerodynamics allowed it to get through the track faster than its competitors. This led to the car's success in F1 racing. Last sold at auction in 2006 for : $4,620,000 to a private buyer. What would it cost to buy this rare rare car now? Will #Maserati come back to F1? 🔱 Remember…. Isotta Fraschini Unveils Road-Legal Le Mans Hypercar With 1,000 HP https://lnkd.in/e8BRcyAi The legendary Italian car brand Isotta Fraschini, which hasn't made a car in decades, has just unveiled the Tipo 6 LMH Strada, the 1,000-horsepower road-going variant of its recently debuted Le Mans Hypercar that it plans to race in the 2024 WEC. It's not exactly what one would expect from the reincarnation of a company whose last heyday was in the 1930s, but there's nothing like dropping a hypercar and going racing to show you're back in a big way. The car debuted in the center of Milan in the shadow of the Duomo, not too far from where the original company was first created over 123 years ago. From there, it traveled to Sanremo, cruising tight city streets, traffic, and miles of highway, all the while its potent hybrid drivetrain pops and crackles. The company didn't pull many punches with the road-going hypercar, as it's basically the Competizione version with a few minor changes to gain road certification. It features an FIA carbon fiber monocoque and body by the company Arstec, hiding a sophisticated suspension and potent chassis. Similar to the Ferrari 499P Modificata hypercar, the Strada's heart is a hybrid V6. It starts with an Isotta Fraschini 3.0-liter 90-degree turbocharged V6 making 750 hp. This is coupled with an electric motor that produces 270 hp and brings the grand total to 1,020 hp. This power is routed through a seven-speed sequential gearbox to all four wheels, allowing the car to rocket to 236 mph thanks in part to weighing a mere 2,204 lbs.

World’s Only V12 Ferrari F40 Is Going Up For Sale https://lnkd.in/e-M6wh-f It’s now August, and if you’re a regular reader of this site, you probably know what that means: Monterey Car Week. Old, new, and lemony jalopies will be on display. And, likely, another rare red Ferrari will be sold for millions at auction. But MCW won’t be for another couple of weeks. Until then, we’ve found another rare red Ferrari you can make a wild bid on: a factory-backed V12 F40. Whoa, there. The first-ever production Ferrari to top 200 mph didn’t have a V12, as you might recall. The F40 had a twin-turbo V8. Well, you’re not wrong. But this example does, in fact, have a V12. The engine is sourced from a 550 Maranello, and the entire project actually got what amounts to a thumbs-up from Ferrari itself. The Simpson-Ferrari V12 GTR started its life as a test car for the Maranello factory. Through a previously established relationship between the U.K.-based Simpson Motorsport, race car driver Stefano Sebastiani, and former Ferrari boss Amedeo Felisa, the Simpson team snagged a post-crash-test F40 chassis. Then the magic began. Rather than rebuilding the F40 to factory spec, a 550-sourced V12 found a new home in the F40. The naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V12 produces 478 horsepower. On paper, that doesn’t sound a whole lot better than the stock 2.9-liter V8 which already made 471 hp. On the ears, though it literally sounds a whole lot better. (...)

LOT 134 Paris 2024 1957 Porsche 356 Carrera 1500 GS Speedster €792,500 EUR | Sold | Paris, France Chassis No. 83492 Engine No. P92002 Documents German Fahrzeugbrief A rare and highly desirable variant of Porsche’s legendary 356 A Speedster Delivered with Porsche’s now legendary four-cam Carrera engine Fully restored and eligible for major motoring events around the world Porsche’s brand is now closely associated with motorsport, especially renowned for its historical domination of Le Mans, but its post-war origins were more modest. With its first pure-bred sportscar, the 550 Spyder, Porsche cleaned up in the 1,500 cc class at major endurance races including the Carrera Panamericana. Thanks to the genius of Max Hoffman, Porsche’s leading US importer, the Speedster model had been wildly successful in North America. Wishing to capitalise on their motorsport success in the region, Porsche launched the Carrera GS fitted with a road-adapted version of the Ernst Fuhrmann-designed four-cam engine, which had garnered so much success with the 550 Spyder. From 1957, the model was available in either ‘de luxe’ form or a lightweight competition GT version. According to a copy of its factory Kardex, this Speedster Carrera GS, chassis number 83492, was delivered new on 26 June 1957 to North America via Max Hoffman. Specified in Silver Metallic over Black Leatherette, along with coupé seats and USA bumper bars, this rare car features a later replacement Typ 692/1 four-cam Carrera engine. More recently, this 356 was subjected to a full restoration and presents as a fresh car. Ready to be enjoyed on road tours or at Porsche meetings or even major events such as the Mille Miglia, this wonderful Carrera GS would make a fantastic addition to any garage. #classic #classics #classiccars #collectorcars #carcollectors #historic #vintage #performance #racing #rallying #driving #car #cars #automotiveindustry #auto #autos #autoindustry #auction #forsale #sold #automotive #investment #privatesale

How Anger and Revenge Gave Birth to Ferrari And Lamborghini? Let's delve into the origin stories behind Top Sports Car Brands in the world. Italy is renowned as the primary manufacturer of sports cars, with 7 out of 8 supercar brands originating from this country. It all began in 1910 with the inception of Alfa Romeo, the first supercar company. In an era when cars were a luxury only the wealthy could afford, brands needed to prove their quality and comfort. To build trust, they participated in various races. Alfa Romeo launched their first car, the Torpedo, in the 1920s and won their first race with it. Interestingly, Enzo Ferrari was part of the Alfa Romeo racing team and won many races for them. However, in 1929, Enzo left Alfa Romeo to start his racing team. Without sufficient funds, he collaborated with George Remini, who eventually acquired 80% of Ferrari's shares. In 1939, Alfa Romeo dismissed Enzo Ferrari. Undeterred, Enzo launched his first car, the 125S, under Auto Avio Construzioni in 1947. Over the next two decades, Ferrari sold numerous cars, but their high prices meant they were owned only by millionaires and billionaires. One such owner was Ferruccio Lamborghini, who owned multiple Ferraris but had complaints about them. When he shared his feedback with Enzo Ferrari, Enzo famously retorted, "Go back to your tractors." Taking this personally, Lamborghini decided to start his own supercar company. In 1963, Lamborghini launched their first car, the 350 GTV. In 1971, they introduced the iconic Countach, led by Horacio Pagani. Due to disagreements, Pagani left Lamborghini and founded his own company. In 1992, he launched the Pagani Zonda under Pagani Automobiles. This car was so unique that it attracted investments from major brands, including Ferrari. Only 450 Pagani cars have been sold worldwide, with some models costing up to $18.6 million. This is how anger and revenge forged some of the world's finest supercar brands. If you found this story inspiring, share it with your connections. #automobiles #carzspa #carcare #cardetailing

LOT 239 Miami 2024 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale $300,000 - $400,000 USD | Offered Without Reserve | Coral Gables, Florida Chassis No. ZFFDU57A240139040 Documents US Title To be offered on Saturday, 2 March 2024 A blisteringly fast and much-desired competition-focused model One of approximately 378 examples specified for North America Showing 9,507 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloguing Finished in Rosso Corsa over a red/black Alcantara interior In 1993 Ferrari introduced a race-prepared version of its V-8 model for use in a new single-marque competition series dubbed the Ferrari Challenge. Ten years later the 360 Modena was transformed into a roadgoing race car called the Challenge Stradale, which substantially shaved weight through the removal of sound insulation and other creature comforts. The model was equipped with advanced mechanical elements like an F1-style paddle-shifted transaxle, uprated carbon ceramic brakes, and a retuned V-8 engine with higher compression and a resulting additional 25 horsepower (for a total 425 horsepower). Ferrari ultimately built fewer than 1,300 examples of the prodigious 360-based Challenge Stradale, approximately 378 of which were specified for North America. The model was an instant classic with Maranello racing connoisseurs, offering the purest and fastest iteration of the already-dazzling 360 Modena. Befitting of a competition bred sports car, the 360 Challenge Stradale on offer wears a striking Rosso Corsa exterior over a red/black Alcantara interior. Being a North American-specification example, the vehicle lacks the Lexan windows fitted in other markets, but it does feature prominent Scuderia shields on the quarter panels, a hi-fi radio with CD player, carbon fiber mirrors, Rosso Corsa brake calipers, and a fire extinguisher. Delivered new to the state of California, the car now shows just 9,507 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. A tool kit, owner’s books, and a car cover will accompany the Ferrari upon purchase. The Challenge Stradale offers Maranello enthusiasts a blisteringly fast track-ready 360 that can be equally admired or driven for casual fun. Ideal for display at FCA events, supercar Sundays, or local cars-and-coffee gatherings, examples with low mileage and desirable factory specifications are becoming increasingly difficult to find. As such, this particular 360 Challenge Stradale offering represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari's best. #classic #classics #classiccars #collectorcars #carcollectors #historic #vintage #performance #racing #rallying #driving #car #cars #automotiveindustry #auto #autos #autoindustry #auction #forsale #sold #automotive #investment #privatesale
