“We value his knowledge of tech and its power to personalize learning for students of all ages.” -Kathy Crowley If we want kids to succeed, it means that we need to use any tool at our disposal to lower barriers to learning. Readability Matters co-founder Kathy Crowley advocates for the adoption of adjustable text to improve fluency, and has garnered support from Adobe, Monotype, and others to make learning and reading easier for everyone. My work with this edtech startup inspired sections of my book and companion course related to #accessibility and #UDL. While some choose to see just the downsides of using tech, we might instead look for ways, as Readability Matters has, to leverage #edtech to make learning easier, more efficient, and fair. I’m honored to have worked with Kathy to share the story of #fluency through adjustable text, and for her kind words of support.
