Curious why your dealership website isn’t ranking? There might be an easy fix 👇 start here: 1️⃣ Click through your website and ask: “How well are we answering people’s questions?” 2️⃣ Then go look at your live chats and ask: “What are the most common questions people ask us?” 3️⃣ Then go back to your website and see if you can find the answer to those questions. Most often, low ranking websites do a horrible job at simply offering a better answer to common questions. Google wants to give people relevant results, close to their location. So our job is to make sure we increase relevance with content that answers what customers want to know. My buddy Marcus Sheridan talks all about this concept in his book, “They Ask, You Answer” It’s a must read in 2024! So let me ask you 👇 What is a common question that customers ask your dealership? #marketing101 #carbusiness #automotivemarketing #therealmc
"What is a common question that customers ask...?" In the New York area, can you beat Paragon's price on a Civic? See screen grab below. Looks like the best website strategy for Google ranking would be to change your name to Edmunds. Also move your store to New Jersey.
They want to know: - Is it actually, physically there and available for sale? - How much will it cost me? (Price and/or monthly payment) - What will you actually give me for my trade? - Is this a better deal than the other dealership/vehicle I'm considering?
Love it—I’d add that all the same applies to the “careers page”. Put the value prop right there for potential candidates to see—videos, testimonials etc. All the same things we do to get external customers applies to acquiring INTERNAL customers—employees. 😊 can’t wait to see you soon BTW!
Also, sometimes I feel like a common question is similar to what people joke about on FB Marketplace “Is this still available?” Lol
Marcus doesn’t talk specifically about “his” pools. He uses content in a strategic way to position (himself) as the voice of authority. It’s not about “buy now.”
Do this on multiple devices, using various browsers on each.
This is great!!! Sometimes the answer is simple and a solution is ready and waiting!

10moAlso, most dealer websites fail "Core Web Vitals" and lack original content. They fail the technical fundamentals as well with unoptimized title tags and Meta descriptions. Just my 2 cents...but these are real world problems. Most SEO providers don't do any of this. Fix your website in 2024! Lol.
