Today is World Art Day which falls annually on the 15th of April, the same day as the birth of world-famous artist, Leonardo da Vinci (1452). Leonardo da Vinci’s areas of interest included invention, drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany and more. He is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time, with two of his most widely known works including Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. World Art Day is the perfect time to celebrate creativity and bring joy to others: * Draw a picture * Compose a song * Write a poem or story * Paint * ... In short, World Art Day is about bringing a smile to others and forwarding the concept of creating a better world through aesthetics. Although World Art Day was formulated around a particular date to celebrate creativity, ideally, one would forward creativity all year round.

#Driving through the #Midwest always sparks some creativity when we take #local #highways and #country #roads. #BucolicArchitecture always inspires me me in many ways. I feel that simple #materials, #geometries, + #historic #typologies can be reinterpreted into #museums, #culturalcenters #garages, + #warehouses. It all start's with an #Idea. #1.

THE KURA HALOS REEF PROJECT THE TERM KURA HALOS MEANS HUMAN BODY IN ANCIENT GREEK, ONE OF MANY ANCIENT NAMES FOR RED CORAL. The Reef Project is a contemporary art sculptural project that embraces marine art and biology. The idea of a work that blends with the surrounding marine environment. Today the time has come to implement a new and ambitious project for the protection of underwater natural heritage. The concept of the human hybrid "Mature Man" becomes the fulcrum of increasingly numerous specific research which today finds, in the Rarica exhibition, the beginning of a new path. Kura Halos - Reef is a work of iron, its genesis takes into account the possible growth dynamics of marine creatures, thus providing strong protection aimed at the evolutionary development of madrepores. The slow growth process is facilitated by this (cradle-sculpture) which generates a thought, in this case artistic. Man, the cradle of life, creates support for underwater life by merging with it, hybridizing its form and its future existence. The installation will be presented for the first time inside the marine park of Syracuse precisely in the center of a breakwater adjacent to the Maniace castle in Ortigia. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹? 👀 These guys are certainly not asking themselves this question. They perfected a PEP technique. 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 When using a photometric stereo technique, 4 lamps are employed to illuminate an object from 4 different directions. With proper illumination, you can enhance surface details by creating shadows. By assigning a distinct color to each of the photos and merging them into one image, you obtain a so-called normal map. This surface information is combined with a regular color photograph, enabling the application of photogrammetry and overlaying a layer of surface information. This allows you to not only visualize the photometric stereo technique in 2D but also apply it in the 3D world.
