I recently had a great conversation with Sarah A. Scala, M. Ed, PCC 🏳️🌈 about inclusive leadership on my The Coaches Are In web series. She shared her insights on creating environments where individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered. We talked about the importance of acknowledging biases, fostering psychological safety, and measuring the impact of inclusive practices. We also shared practical steps for leaders to take in embracing inclusivity in their organizations. I just took my first MBA-level class. And I LOVED it! ❤️ No, I didn't enroll in business school. I am so proud to share that I’m an Executive Coach with The Leadership Consortium (TLC). An amazing benefit of the role is that I have the privilege of partaking in their core leadership development program. This first, case-study based class in the Fall cohort was taught by Harvard University Professor and TLC Founder, Frances Frei, and enhanced by the perspectives of diverse TLC participant-leaders. We dove into several themes that touched upon everything from communication to KPIs to trust. I left feeling energized and grateful. 🙏 It also reminded me of two things: 💥 It is crucial to feed your growth mindset. Many of us rely on our workplaces to support our learning and development. What happens when that is not an option? You have to do it for yourself. There are many ways to accomplish this. For example, introduce a program like The Leadership Consortium (TLC) to your company. Another way is to self-invest by setting aside a portion of your yearly salary for learning and growth experiences. (Happy to discuss other options offline.) 💥 Trust your values and find work, relationships, and experiences that align with them. This is when you can access your state of flow and experience joy in the day-to-day; nothing is forced (no more trying to fit a square peg in a round hole!). The biggest reason I wanted to be an Executive Coach with TLC was because I 110% aligned with their mission and vision. Plus, I get to coach and learn at the same time, with the support of the incredible TLC team - thank you Joseph Dillard, Ph.D., Liz Mongrello, Cara Shortsleeve, and fellow TLC coaches like Chris Knight - it’s a win-win-win. ❓ ❓ Now it’s your turn: How are you continuing to grow and evolve as a leader? #leadershipdevelopment #executivecoaching #leaders #transformation #diversityandinclusion
"Trust is the foundation for everything we do." We had the incredible privilege of kicking off our latest cohort with Harvard Professor and TLC Founder, Frances Frei. In the first of a powerful two-part series, Frances shared invaluable insights on building #trust and fostering truly #inclusive spaces. Her intuitive frameworks continue to guide and inspire our participants on their leadership journey. Excited for what’s to come! #TLCLeaders #LeadershipDevelopment #Trust #Inclusion
