As a gamer, we know when we're being marketed to, but honestly, we don't mind if there's something in it for us! If you want to generate returns from gamers, you must be self-aware and essentially extend an invitation to gamers; we know you're selling to us, but focus on us first..then sell the product. Brands must focus on creating an authentic long-term value proposition that, above all else, serves that community. That is the way to generate returns from gamer audiences.
