Driving Change: Unveiling HappyPorch's 2023 Impact Report Transparency is at the heart of what we do, and our latest report highlights our commitment to sustainability and responsibility. 🌍 2023 Highlights: • Environmental Stewardship: Our most significant achievement lies in our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint generated by our team's travel. We organised and attended three in-person meetups and what made these gatherings stand out was how we made conscious travel choices and travelled mostly by land. • Social Responsibility: During our May meetup in Buxton, we were happy to dedicate some of our time to volunteer work. • Governance: Successfully completed and submitted our B Corp recertification. As we close another month, it’s important to reflect on the positive actions being made with a group of motivated people. Sustainability isn't just about grand gestures - it’s the small, consistent steps we take every day that can truly make a difference. We cleaned up a part of Budapest, participated in important events and conversations and encouraged more people to join our organization to enhance this mindset of shaping our planet for the better. The lesson is clear: Everyone has a role to play. Whether it’s at home, in the office, or in our communities, we always have the choice to contribute. And we should make that choice, because it counts. Let’s continue to make conscious choices, educate ourselves, and inspire others together. Ensuring we embed sustainable practices across our products and operations is very important to all of us at Intel. It's a non-negotiable in today's climate reality.   The tech industry's environmental impact is massive—from the energy-intensive manufacturing processes to the power demands of running our products. At Intel Corporation, we're taking a holistic approach to driving sustainability improvements at every stage.   A crucial part of our #sustainability efforts is finding ways to cut greenhouse gas emissions from our factories. One innovative approach we're using is capturing the heat generated during manufacturing and reusing it as hot water for other processes, like heating the buildings or preheating the ultra-pure water we need for chip fabrication. At our new factory in Ireland, these heat recovery measures will allow us to use nine times more reclaimed energy than other fuel sources. Huge kudos to Todd Brady and all those who are working on this.    On my side of the business, our Intel Core Ultra processors incorporate innovations like modular, repairable board designs and intelligent display management to reduce waste and optimize power usage – but we can't stop at just making silicon more eco-friendly. We're partnering with OEMs to ensure these energy-saving technologies extend to the full system design.   These are just a few examples of how we're getting creative beyond #EarthMonth. #Semiconductor #Sustainability #EnvrionmentalEngineering
