Jim knows where it's at 👏👏 So often we make our ACL-ers jump through hoops (pun completely intended) to get back to their pre-injury sport. Strength tests, hop tests, vertical jump tests are commonly what we'll focus on in return to sport planning. But don't forget about assessing psychological readiness to return to sport with the ACL-RSI questionnaire. ACL-RSI is a valid and reliable outcome measure in ACL populations and one recent paper by McPherson et al 2019 showed that scores >77% had lower risk of sustaining a 2nd ACL injury within 2yrs compared to those who chose to return to sport with scores of 76% or lower.
