SHOWCASE • 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐘: 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 🌍 What if we could apply the precision of living cells to the chemical industry? Project CLASSY, a FET Open Research and Innovation Action (RIA) joined together leading scientists with expertise in systems chemistry, biocatalysis and microfluidics to take ambitious steps to create a microfluidic platform that mimics the natural efficiency of cells. This could significantly reduce the carbon footprint of chemical processes. In collaboration with the other partners of the project we developed a set of innovative microreactors that can house multiple catalysts and enzymes, similar to the way living cells produce complex molecules. This technology opens up new opportunities for sustainable chemical production and minimizes waste. 🔬 Read in our latest blog how Project CLASSY aimed to transform the chemical industry and contribute to a greener future: https://lnkd.in/eNtTAr73 #Sustainability #ProjectCLASSY #Microfluidics #ChemicalInnovation #Micronit #GreenTechnology #CircularEconomy

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘁® - 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗲. The therapy with the microfluidic 𝗚𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘁® chip (CT1-DAP001) is being used in Phase I/II clinical trials in Japan. This means that the therapy is being tested to determine whether it is safe for patients and whether it helps replace or restore the damaged neurons in the brain, specifically in patients with Parkinson’s disease. The hope is that it will lead to the regeneration of damaged cells and the alleviation of Parkinson's symptoms, potentially slowing down or even stopping the progression of the disease. At Micronit, we believe in a world where people can age healthily. We take pride in partnerships like these that contribute to life-changing solutions. 🌱 #Microfluidics #Innovation #Parkinson #MedTech #BioTech
Have you already heard about our exciting partnership with Sumitomo Pharma? Since 2018, our innovative GigaSort® platform has been at the core of Sumitomo's iPSC-derived Parkinson's Disease therapy (CT1-DAP001), enabling the production of cells for a Phase I/II clinical trial in Japan. 🔬 Our collaboration is paving the way for new possibilities in cell therapy and regenerative medicine. Together, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of science and making a difference in patients' lives. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey! #CellSorting #RegenerativeMedicine #Parkinsons #LifeSciences #Innovation #Healthcare #Biotech
