September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month! 🧠 Approximately 1 in 50 people in the U.S. have an unruptured brain aneurysm, which amounts to nearly 6.5 million people. Every year, about 30,000 people in the U.S. experience a brain aneurysm rupture. About 40% of aneurysm ruptures result in death, and 66% of survivors experience some form of permanent neurological deficit. At MicroVention-Terumo, we stand with those affected by brain aneurysms and their families. This month, let’s raise awareness, share knowledge, and support research to prevent and treat this condition. #BrainAneurysmAwareness #BrainHealthMatters #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #stopthepop #Scan2Save Sources: Brain Aneurysm Foundation, @American Stroke Association

🌍🧠 It's #WorldBrainDay2024! Today, let's raise awareness about brain health and the impact of Long COVID. Many people living with Long COVID (LC) experience various cognitive challenges as part of their #LC journey, including memory loss, difficulty concentrating, mental fatigue, and brain fog. Nearly 40 percent of Long COVID patients experience brain fog, which can last for weeks, months or years. The exact causes of the neurological symptoms are not yet fully understood. For this reason, the Long COVID Project is investigating possible causes of the neurological symptoms in Long COVID and possible routes of infection. To do this, the Long COVID Project is investigating different approaches from brain cells, to human mini-brains and pre-clinical models. Let's unite and work together to support the ongoing research and improve the lives of those affected by Long COVID. 🤗 Happy #WBD2024!
