🌍🤝 A successful mission to Kokkola! From September 17-20, 2024, MIDA Stockholm, together with the Embassy of Malaysia, joined the ASEAN Ambassadors' visit to #Kokkola, Finland. This collaboration aimed to strengthen business ties and explore new opportunities between Malaysia and Finland, focusing on sustainability, healthcare innovation, industrial ecosystems, and education partnerships. During the visit, we had the privilege of meeting with various key Finnish stakeholders, including Kewatec, a renowned manufacturer of high-performance aluminium boats for search & rescue operations, and Vitec Raisoft, a global provider of healthcare and social service tools. The delegation also visited Centria University of Applied Sciences, where we explored potential research and education partnerships between Malaysia and Finland. Centria’s growing interest in Southeast Asia aligns well with the region’s ambition to foster deeper academic ties. Kokkola, known as the "Finnish capital of battery chemistry," has made significant investments in sustainable industries and continues to lead in sectors like clean energy, maritime, and industrial innovation. We also visited the Kokkola Industrial Park, the largest inorganic chemical industry ecosystem in Northern Europe, which is home to leading companies such as Keliber, Hycamite, Jervois Finland, Neste, and Yara. We extend our sincere thanks to the Embassy of Malaysia Helsinki, Kokkola City, and all the partners involved for making this trip a productive and memorable experience. We look forward to future collaborations and the continued growth of Malaysia-Finland relations! 🇲🇾🤝🇫🇮 #MIDA #InvestinMalaysia #Malaysia #Finland #IndustrialInnovation #HealthTech #BatteryChemistry #Sustainability #MaritimeIndustry #BusinessOpportunities Malaysian Embassy Helsinki Khairul Azhar Amil Hamzah Ariff Ali Satu Spratley
