Veteran Housing Corp says that IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF A PERMANENT AND LASTING SOLUTION TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS AND HOMELESSNESS, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IS BROKEN AND NOT WORKING FOR AMERICAN TAXPAYERS Veteran Housing Corp would ask every TAXPAYER to demand and get answers from their elected and appointed government officials the below questions as they relate to any affordable, workforce, or supportive housing project in your community! 1. How much local, state, and federal funding, tax credits, or other government benefits or incentives did the project receive? 2. What is the affordability period for each project? Is the affordability period permanent and in perpetuity? 3. What guarantees exist have your local, state, and federal government officials obtained in writing that rents will not go up or that tenants will not be displaced or evicted after the "affordability period expires? Every local, state, and federal housing authority and affordable or workforce housing stakeholder should adopt the State of Vermont's "permanent affordability" policy as a model for all future government funded or subsidized housing projects or developments, no exceptions! https://lnkd.in/eFEUC8c8 Additionally, local, state and federal housing agencies should look to the Helsinki, FINLAND MODEL of ending homelessness by providing affordable housing for all 'It’s a miracle': Helsinki's radical solution to homelessness https://lnkd.in/er9HZSQU Even the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development AGREES THAT adopting FINLAND'S MODEL OF ERADICATING HOMELESSNESS may be of great value to resolving the affordable housing and homelessness crises in America https://lnkd.in/gkSZWYRU

When we celebrate July 4th, it's more than just BBQs and fireworks. It's about community. 🇺🇸 Here are 4 creative ways to show love for your community this Independence Day: 🎉 Host a Local Event: Organize a neighborhood potluck or a local talent show. It's a great way for first-time home buyers and VA buyers to meet their neighbors and build connections. 🌟 Support Local Businesses: Visit farmers' markets, local shops, or dine at a family-owned restaurant. Small actions can make a big impact on local businesses. 👥 Volunteer: Spend a few hours at a community center or participate in a clean-up event. It’s a wonderful way to give back and make our neighborhoods better. 🏡 Share Your Home Buying Story: For many, owning a home is the American dream. Sharing your journey can inspire others, especially first-time and VA buyers. This July 4th, let's make our communities stronger and more connected. Happy Independence Day! 🎆 How do you plan to celebrate and give back to your community?

How do you measure success in a business? Is it total revenue, total profit, or some other metric? I would argue that one of the most important characteristics of a successful business is its ability to create impact; to generate change and help improve the lives of others. carter joey® has celebrated many "wins" and achieved impressive milestones over the last few years, but this one feels different - it IS different. Through the formation of "carter cares," we'll be able to impact the lives of countless people and continue striving to make a positive difference in the world. This idea is young, but the potential is massive. Please take a minute to visit the page linked below. Share with your network, and of course let us know if we can help. #impact #success #cartercares #philanthropy #beactivenotbusy #socialimpact

SATURDAY MORNING (AUGUST 3RD) at 8:30 AM our amazing Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Phoenix will be cleaning up the community once again! In honor of Kenny "Fanatic" Hogan, for this Community Clean-Up our volunteers, along with Bluprint Music Group, will be meeting up in the parking lot of Rodriguez Boxing Club, located at 1350 W Roosevelt St Phoenix, AZ 85007 NO OPEN-TOED SHOES Cleaning up loose trash is one of the best ways to pitch in for your community and the environment. Volunteering as a means to help conserve and protect the environment has a lot of upsides. Of course, the first is that you’ll be taking care of our planet, and it badly needs a little love given the myriad ways in which we’ve become adept at destroying it. But beyond that, volunteering for a cause you care about is a great way to meet like-minded people, make friends, and pull yourself out of the blues that sometimes accompany caring a lot about something important – especially if you feel alone in your endeavors. None of us like the sight of litter. Litter spoils the look of where we live but that’s not the only reason for picking up litter. There are a number of benefits from picking up litter that you may not have considered before. Volunteer-led projects such as these are one of the quickest, simplest, and least expensive ways to inspire more community spirit and civic action. A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood's image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior. Join us in keeping the community clean! For more information: https://lnkd.in/gg_x58uR #TeamWhoIAm_Phoenix

Check this out....and pleasssssssssssse don’t forget this is National Affordable Housing month…..as an Ambassador for PATH in support of homeless population, I am focused on sharing the facts about homelessness – “Most groups of color have higher rates of homelessness than their White counterparts—and, in some cases, far higher. Within the White group, 11 out of every 10,000 people experience homelessness. For Black people, that number is more than four times as large—48 out of every 10,000 people. Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islanders particularly stand out as having the highest rates, with 121 out of every 10,000 people experiencing homelessness. The racial and ethnic groups with the highest incidences of homelessness have extensive histories of experiencing oppression, including displacements from land and property and exclusions from housing opportunities. Effectively addressing homelessness will likely require invested partners to account for America’s history, and that history’s influence on current culture, policy, and practice.”…. I ask you to donate to our local nonprofit PATH, who is committed to offering support to the homeless population that face challenges of housing insecurity. Homelessness can and does impact everyone....….Here is the link to donate to PATH Giving Day on or before May 15th. Any and all donations are accepted, because together we can make a difference for the greater good of our community -- https://lnkd.in/gEHmtbkQ
