I was so invigorated by the time I spent earlier this week moderating a panel discussion about Future-Focused Strategies for Association Leaders. A few great takeaways: -For all decisions and across all stakeholders, always take the time to amplify your "why", which should be rooted in your mission, vision, values and strategic plan -Focus on being relevant to grow the pipeline and attract new members while still serving existing members -Be proactive yet nimble and recognize that it takes patience to see results -Understand that even though Generation Z is changing jobs at a faster pace than ever before (10+ times from ages 18-34), associations can be their professional home -Review governance processes to ensure that diverse voices are being represented, especially at the board level Grateful thanks to Kerry Hoggard and David Cade of American Health Law Association, Courtney Knoll of North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), and Maunda Land, MBA, CMP, CAE of ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership for sharing their powerful wisdom.
