Attention, moms to be! First of all, CONGRATS! Second of all, pregnancy can take quite a toll on your feet. Swelling can be a major problem for expectant mothers, and while some swelling is a normal and natural part of a pregnancy, there is a limit your feet can take. If the swelling from your feet starts to spread to other extremities, make sure to call your doctor, as this is an early sign of preeclampsia. We are supporting researchers on the Truffle2 Study, which aims to look more closely at babies that are growing more slowly in late pregnancy. The study hopes to find the optimal window of time to deliver babies growing slowly in the womb. As there are risks with both early and full-term delivery for babies with slower growth, it is vitally important that this study is carried out to assess the best time for delivery.
