⛈ Embracing Teamwork in the Face of Adversity ⛈ We faced an unexpected storm on Tuesday that tested our team's resilience and our preparedness during a power outage. Despite the challenging conditions, our dedication to our work never wavered--nor did our power thanks to our generator! We rallied together, adapting swiftly to ensure that our goals were met without compromise. This experience reinforced the importance of teamwork. Each member's commitment and support were crucial in overcoming obstacles and delivering results. Together, we proved that even in the midst of adversity, our collective strength and determination shine through. Here's to teamwork that not only endures but excels, regardless of the storm. 🚀💪 #Teamwork #Resilience #Adaptability #Success #TeamSpirit #Generatorpower

Roads Will Get Rough......! There’s something to be said for the art of staying the course when the road gets rough. The storms come—deadlines piling up, projects teetering on the edge, team dynamics in flux—and you're in the thick of it. But you find a way through. You don’t flinch. You dig deep, find another gear, refuse to give into the size and weight of the moment. It's about being steady when others falter, about lifting people up when they’re dragging their feet, and seeing the bigger picture when the noise of the day-to-day tries to drown out the view. So, if you're feeling the weight of it all, remember this: resilience isn’t just a skill; it’s a practice. It's cultivated in those moments when you stay a little longer, listen a little more intently, and lean into the challenges rather than shy away. Your team sees it. They might not always say it, but they notice. They feel your steady hand guiding them forward, and that's where your leadership shines the brightest. Keep steering that ship, even if the waves get higher and the sky isn't so bright. It will eventually smooth out and the clouds will break.🌻

Structure + Discipline = Freedom Why do we find it so difficult and even abhorrent to adhere to a schedule to orient our precious energy to what we believe in? Structured, deeply focused work means you get things done and have 100% “focused” freedom when you are not working. If this makes you uncomfortable, perhaps the focus you have chosen does not align with your deep purpose?

Systems are the collective analog of habit - and they share (with habit) important features: - you can actively create the ones that have the outcomes you are looking for. - fighting against them in the short term seems possible but is mostly futile. - you don’t have to be actively seeking to do so to be creating one. Understanding and leveraging this important idea will multiply your productivity.

I used to use sticky notes to manage my personal work (a kanban board), but I don't any longer. No matter how disciplined I tried to be, it turned into a storm of stickies on my desktop. I do better with a small notebook that I physically write in to gather and organize my thoughts. It's a combination of a daily journal, notes from meetings or research, and a regularly revised to do list. I break the work down as I go. I have tried many digital versions of to do lists and knowledge management systems, but I think more deeply and faster when I write with pencil on paper. When working on a collaborative team (I'm working across the pond right now), I lean heavily on Trello and frequent conversation. The cards have a lot more detail than you can put on a sticky (description, acceptance criteria, links, comments, color-coding), break down with minimal effort, and support coordinated asynchronous work. More about stickies: They are hugely useful in group facilitation, when you want to externalize everyone's thoughts on a topic and then look at the whole together. This can help a group see context and make more informed decisions. But take a picture: they represent a moment in time. The second people walk out of the room, the stickies start the slide into last week.
Don't let a big project scare you. These secrets to getting stuff done will get you going. Try this today and watch your productivity soar! #gettingthingsdone #artofagileliving #productivity
