How do you decide when to manage your hair at home and when to seek professional advice? Scenario: Establishing a hair care routine that covers essentials like shampooing, conditioning, detangling, and moisturizing. Do it yourself: Consistent maintenance is key and can be done at home with the right products. Your routine should include gentle shampoos, deep conditioners, detangling tools, and moisturizing products, all customized to your hair's specific needs. Do: ✅ Moisturize with lightweight leave-in conditioners or oils like argan or jojoba. ✅ Deep condition at least twice a month for hydration. ✅ Use heat protectants when styling with heat tools. Don’t: 🚫 Overwash your hair, especially if your scalp and hair are naturally dry. Once a week is usually enough. 🚫 Skip conditioning; it's essential for hydration and detangling. 🚫 Overuse heat tools, which can cause long-term damage. #shortnaturalhair #naturalhair #bigchop #taperednaturalhair #blackgirlsrock #voiceofhair #twistout #naturalhairsistas washday #hairtips #curlyhair #hairtransformation #hair #braids #haircare #melanin #hairgoals #longhair #lengthretention #influencer #salon #explorepage #fyp #repair #frosense #hiring #hairdressers #johannesburg #durban #capetown

I help middle aged women struggling with self-worth find more confidence, purpose and independence by loving what they do while helping others.
Have you ever tried an Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo before?! I hadn’t either until we launched ours, and it’s now one of my FAVORITE shampoos! The scrub is considered a shampoo also and is my favorite!!! Why should you use an ACV shampoo? *The enzymes from the fermented apple smooth the hair cuticle, the protective layer that locks in vital lipids, proteins, and moisture. *ACV is an anti-inflammatory, meaning it can prevent bacteria growth on the scalp. *Its a gentle cleanser that will help remove product/mineral buildup making conditioners/masques more effective because they don’t have to fight through a barrier to get to the hair shaft. *Its great for frizz! (Cuticle smoothing) *May help preserve hair color. (Cuticle smoothing) *May help tangling and knotting. (Cuticle smoothing) *Gives hair a healthy shine. (Cuticle smoothing) When should you use it? I work it into my routine once every 4-5 shampoos or whenever I’m feeling like I need a deep cleanse. Pool lovers, you need this! Who can use it? ACV is perfect for ALL hair types! 🙌🏻 PS-It doesn’t have a pungent ACV smell, I actually love the smell of this shampoo! #haircare #antiaging #natural #hair #beauty

🌟 #TipTuesday 🌟Let’s talk about hair density and why it’s crucial to get it just right for your age and lifestyle! 💁♀️✨Choosing the right density is more important than you might think. Here’s what you need to consider: Age-Appropriate Density: Your hair density should complement your age and natural hair trends. Lighter densities often look more natural and age-appropriate, while thicker densities can sometimes appear less natural for older wearers. 🌟👵 Thicker hair: It’s a common misconception that a thicker unit will last longer. While it might seem like more hair equals more durability, choosing the right density for your lifestyle and maintenance routine is key. Sometimes, less is more when it comes to natural-looking results. 💇♀️✨ We’re here to help you find the perfect density that suits your style and ensures your unit looks and feels amazing. How long should your hair products sit on your strands before washing them off? Well that depends on the hair product. To start, lets look at the two most common products most of us are using regularly, conditioners and shampoos. Conditioner: If you apply your conditioner only to rinse it off immediately, you may not be reaping all of its benefits. Typically, you'll want to leave the conditioner on for the amount of time listed in the directions on the packaging, which is usually between one and five minutes—just enough time to detangle your hair. Shampoo: The best way to wash hair is to rub the shampoo into the scalp to enable those molecules to do their job. Ideally, you want to massage your shampoo on hair for anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes, depending on your hair's thickness, before rinsing. #safohair #haircare #naturalhair #healthyhair #naturalhaircare #clarifyingshampoo #moisturizingshampoo #hairconditioner #moisturizeyourhair #plantbasedhaircare #haircareroutine Leave-in:
