🌟 We are thrilled to announce that our recent stakeholder consultation workshop on 'Creating Positive Change in Artisanal Small-Scale Gold Mining (#ASM)' resulted in plenty of fruitful discussions and information sharing. Held at Palexpo Geneva during the EPHJ - The World of High Precision Fair, we were pleased to have 27 organisations represented on the day to drive impactful conversations and initiatives. 🔄 We greatly appreciate the invaluable involvement and contributions from all participants. Stakeholder engagement and input are extremely important to us, and we value the perspectives and insights shared during the session. An inclusive and coordinated approach to integrating Artisanal Small-scale Mining (ASM) in the Gold Value Chain is key to bringing long-term sustainable change. Agincourt Resources (PTAR), as the manager of the Martabe Gold Mine is ready to diversify its business, not only in gold and silver but also in copper. "Traditionally, we have only produced gold and silver here since 2012." Currently, we have actually started copper production too. There is little copper here, it is not economical to mine. "It's different in Papua, in Gresberg," said General Manager Operations (GMO) of the Martabe Gold Mine, Rahmat Lubis recently to the media crew on the sidelines of a visit to the Martabe Mine in Batangtoru, South Tapanuli, North Sumatra. Important deal in many ways: - We are able to secure prolonged mining of quartzite, an important raw material for production of silicon and silicones - which are critical raw materials for the green and digital transition. - The deal with the reindeer grazing district, with mitigating measures to ensure their future as well as our own, shows ability to coexist with the indigenous people in the area, which is very important. Norway already supplies more than a third of Europe's needs for silicon - and this is promising for future supplies.

🗞️ NEWS -- Fokus Mining Corporation (TSXV: FKM) | (OTC: FKMCF) announces the successful completion of its winter exploration program aimed at further testing the Moriss gold mineralized zone on the Galloway property in Abitibi, Quebec. This program followed up on the Company's November 2023 1,500-meter drill campaign where high-grade gold mineralization was intersected in gold-bearing structures that appear to intersect the Moriss Zone perpendicularly. Moriss is part of the 100% owned Galloway property in Abitibi, Quebec. ⚒️ 🗣️ Jean Rainville, President and CEO of Fokus, said: "This additional program should greatly enhance our understanding of the area and its potential. We knew there was a gold occurrence related to the Moriss shear zone and we were pleasantly surprised by the discovery of another mineralised system in another direction. The Rich Legacy of Mining in Lavras do Sul, Brazil Lavras do Sul, with its rich and storied history, has been a center of exploration and mining for over two centuries. This region, whose name translates to “diggings of the south,” has witnessed significant milestones that have shaped its mining legacy. Early Discoveries and Developments: In the late 18th century, Portuguese pioneers uncovered the region's potential, sparking gold discoveries in 1776. The 1880s gold rushes brought waves of miners and prospectors, eager to capitalize on these newfound riches. Daniel Laut's pioneering mill in 1870 was a notable advancement, though various ventures by English and Belgian companies faced numerous challenges. Evolution and Resilience: Mining in Lavras do Sul experienced periods of dormancy, yet resilience marked the 1980s revival with Companhia Brasileira do Cobre. The 2000s saw renewed vigor with exploration by Rio Tinto and IAMGOLD.
