We have resiliency wrong. 📖 As Adam Grant says, "Too many leaders label people as lazy when they're actually exhausted. A steady decline in effort and output is a common symptom of burnout." 🤔 The data simply doesn't support the idea that this or that generation isn't resilient. 👩⚕️ It's a misdiagnosis. One that undermines more than just your trust in your people, but your culture as a whole. I urge any #CEO wishing to change their culture to take a listen. On Friday night at Science World, I got to do something profoundly cool. I moderated a panel discussion about the new documentary Bending Light, after an exclusive pre-broadcast screening of the film. On that stage is Gravitational-Wave Astrophysicist, Jess McIver, Writer & Director Alan Goldman, Executive Producer Mel D'Souza, and the legendary Canadian Science Journalist, Bob McDonald. We chatted about the film itself, Canada's frankly astounding legacy of leadership in Astronomy, how we communicate science, and much more. It's a moving film made by passionate and talented people.
