via MiningNews.net Extensional drilling at Tennant Minerals emerging Bluebird discovery in the Northern Territory has again pushed out the known extent of the high-grade #copper-#gold zone. A western step-out hole intersected massive sulphides with a downhole intersection of 61.8m grading 2.8% copper equivalent from 149m, including 6.85m at 17.7% CuEq. Logging also returned gold grades up to 14.7 grams per tonne. The high-grade zone remains open at depth below 400m, and has been mapped for at least 800m of strike. Assays are pending for five holes testing for repeats along the 1.5km gravity-ironstone target zone. STRICKLAND METALS LIMITED (ASX:STK) announces the strongest gold mineralisation ever encountered at the 5.4Moz Au Eq Rogozna project. The first hole drilled by Strickland at Shanac has returned a spectacular intercept of: 89.7m @ 4.0g/t AU from 244.5m, including 24.1m @ 10.5g/t Au from 296.2m. This is the first time this high-grade, gold only zone has been intersected in drilling at Shanac, highlighting the potential to substantially enhance the existing 4.6Moz Au Eq Shanac resource. Multiple additional zones of strong mineralisation encountered in this hole, amounting to a total intersection of: 293.9m @ 2.5g/t Au Eq2 from 162.3m. #STK #GOLD

North Stawell Minerals wishes to expand on the significance of the renewal of EL5443 (ASX:NSM 13 March 2024). EL5443 (Barrabool) covers approximately 182km2 and represents 36% of NSM’s contiguous tenement package along strike to the north of the multi million-ounce gold deposits at Stawell (Figure 1). The tenement is entirely covered by a thin blanket of Murray Basin unmineralised sediments (“cover”) which mask and preserve potential for shallow, large gold deposits similar to the mineralisation at Stawell. The cover is 20-60m thick –gold prospective basement rocks are readily tested with air core drilling. 101.4 metres of 0.84 g/t Au from surface, including 9.8 m of 2.48 g/t and more expansion at depth with 178.3 m of 0.59 g/t Au, including 19.6 m of 2.23 g/t Au. 30.0 m of 1.05 g/t Au from surface, and 47.2 m of 0.94 g/t Au from 133.7 m downhole, among many others. All drill holes mineralized, expanding mineralization at the Taurus Deposit both within and beyond the current resource footprint. This really highlights the potential for ongoing expansion of the resource within and adjacent to higher-grade mineralized corridors. Now our technical team is integrating these results with the advanced modeling and interpretations from extensive mapping, sampling, as well as geochemical and induced polarization surveys from the 2023 field campaign. Executives from silver mining producers are asking Canadian government officials to recognize silver as a critical mineral. Such a classification would help reduce government impediments to mining activities. In a letter signed by almost two dozen mining executives – addressed to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson – the industry outlined the reasoning behind their push for silver to be included on the "critical minerals" list. At Daina 1 South, DAI-TR-007 is mineralized in its entire length and returned 9 m of 7.97 g/t Au, including 3 m of 21.75 g/t Au. All samples from DAI-TR-011 returned gold values above detection limit, with 6 of 9 samples returning grades above 1.0 g/t Au, including 1 m of 59.3 g/t Au and 1 m of 4.67 g/t Au. The trench DAI-TR-011 is 7 meters long and returned 7 m of 1.22 g/t Au.
