The number 1 skill to develop is Focus. Achieve a "deep work" flow. Get more done every day. By learning to focus on one task at a time, you'll do more in a short period of time. • Concentrate on a single task • Avoid distractions Aim for 2 hours per day when you start. Build from there. For me 30 min "bursts", with 10 min breaks work well. No one teaches you how to do this. We just assume people will pick it up 🤯 What tips would you share for distraction-free, focused work? Happy Friday! 😎 👍 If you like today's post. 💬 To let me know what you think. 🔁 To help share. #productivity #focus #growth
Totally agree Mike Bainbridge . From last year I started blocking time out in my calendar for deep focus work. So I have a long enough uninterrupted time.

1yMike Bainbridge part of developing focus is recognising what environment best suits your ability to concentrate. For some it’s a white noise background (by on, music playing, etc). For others it’s solitude and quiet. Interestingly enough, there’s been a study done that highlights certain colours in a room affect your ability to concentrate and focus. By taking the time to assess your environment, minimise distracting influences, you can better engage in your “focus time”. Huge shoutout to the break periods. These are necessary and essential to your success. Another study (widely shared via a Ted Talk), also highlights our ability to stay focused, average about 20% of our day (broken down over short periods). Locking in 20-30 minutes then taking a 10 minute break, will often produce better results and overall better quality work.
