**The fascinating history of screen printing in the garment industry.** Silk screen printing, one of the oldest and most practical printing techniques, dates back to ancient times. Its history can be traced to China during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD). Initially, this method emerged in China during the same dynasty. Japan further developed the process by using silk as a mesh. During this period, stencils were crafted from paper, and the mesh was woven from human hair. Stiff brushes were employed to push ink through the mesh onto the fabric. However, due to the scarcity and cost of silk elsewhere in the world, screen printing took time to gain popularity. It wasn’t until the 1700s when more readily available silk mesh became accessible, that interest in screen printing began to grow in Western Europe. In 17th-century France, silk screens were utilized for fabric printing. Stiff brushes continued to be used to force ink through the mesh. It was during this time that the practice of stretching silk over a frame to support stencils originated, although the exact originator remains unknown. By the 18th century, screen printing had made its way to Western Europe, becoming a prominent method for printing and duplication. A significant historical development occurred in the late 1880s in both America and the UK. Although the principles were similar, the process went by different names. Wax paper handwriting stencils, patented in 1877, were fixed into a frame. Ink could then be forced through these stencils using a rubber squeegee. In the UK, this framed approach with delicate stencils was called the Cyclostyle, while in the USA, it was known as the Mimeograph. The stencils were made from a fine and porous waxed paper called Yoshino. The Englishman Samuel Simon holds the patent for the screen-printed form that is most familiar today. These are new products I made from a mold for a customer in the United Arab Emirates. Regarding the logo, the client chose labeling instead of screen printing. The following are the difference. Compared to silk screen printing, #labeling offers several advantages in enhancing the aesthetics of glass perfume bottles: 1.Labeling allows for the use of various printing techniques, such as digital printing and flexographic printing, enabling a wider range of colors and more intricate patterns. Silk screen printing, due to its process limitations, has restrictions in color and pattern precision. 2. Labeling offers a choice of different label materials, including transparent, metallic, and suede labels, which can create diverse three-dimensional effects and textures, elevating the overall sophistication of the perfume bottle. Silk screen printing, confined to printing on the glass surface, cannot achieve this level of dimensionality. 3. Label design and production are relatively convenient, allowing for adjustments and replacements as needed. Silk screen printing requires the creation of screens, making it difficult to modify designs once finalized, thus offering less flexibility. 4. For small-batch perfume bottle production, labeling is often more cost-effective than silk screen printing, as the latter necessitates screen creation and a minimum order quantity. 5. Labeled perfume bottles can undergo various post-processing treatments, such as hot stamping and embossing, to further enhance their aesthetic appeal. Silk screen printing makes such processing more challenging. However, labeling also has its drawbacks. For instance, the label's adhesion may not be as strong as silk screen printing, and the label material might affect the overall texture of the bottle. In conclusion, both labeling and silk screen printing have their respective advantages and disadvantages. The optimal choice depends on the specific circumstances and requirements.

#addlogo #printlogo #customlogo How To Add Logo On Silicone Products? 1.Laser Engraving: Laser engraving is the process of selectively removing microscopic layers of material to create visible marks on the treated surface. Depending on the material, the laser-material interaction can be different. On harder surfaces, the mechanism of action is primarily ablation, where the focused laser beam removes microscopic particles from the substrate. Engraving can reach depths of 100μm and beyond, while laser marking is typically shallower. 2. Screen Printing: Screen printing is a printing technique in which a screen is used to transfer ink (or dye) onto a silicone product, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. Once the screen is complete, an operator pours ink onto the screen and pushes it through the stencil. The ink only goes where the stencil is open. This is used to create a printed design for a logo, pattern or text. A stencil is used on the screen to develop the graphic, with a mesh stretched over a wooden or metal frame. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and then a reverse stroke causes the screen to momentarily touch the substrate along a contact line. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be drawn out of the mesh openings as the screen springs back after the blade passes. One color is printed at a time, so multiple screens can be used to create a multicolor image or design. 3. Pad printing Pad printing, also called tampography or tampo printing, is an indirect offset (gravure) printing process in which a silicone pad takes a 2-D image from a laser engraved (etched) printing plate (also called a cliché) and transfers it to 3-D products. It is machine-printed using a metal plate. The plate is flat and the image is chemically imprinted. The silicone pad is pressed onto the ink, absorbing the image. Then the silicone pad is pressed onto the substrate, transferring the image to the silicone product. 4. Water Transfer Printing It allows you to apply an elaborate graphic such as carbon fiber, wood grain, and even camouflage to a product. The great thing is that it can be applied to a 3D product surface. The water transfer printing process is extensive and can be used to decorate items ranging from vehicles to silicone items. First, we apply a water soluble film to the surface of the water. We then immerse the product in the liquid bath, using the pressure created to wrap the item. 5. Heat Transfer Printing This printing method is compatible with pre-painted images on a wax sheet or can be used to create an image by layering wax dye onto an object. This printing method uses heat and pressure to transfer a design to the silicone surface, creating a permanent bond between the design and the material. Screen printing: refers to the use of screen as a plate base, and through the photosensitive plate making method, made with pictures and pictures screen printing plate. Screen printing consists of five elements: screen plate, scraper, ink, printing table and substrate. IMD mold decoration: Put the printed pattern of the film into the metal mold, the forming resin is injected into the metal mold and the film, so that the printed pattern of the film and the resin form a whole and solidified into a finished product. I OMD mold decoration: mold decoration process, is an extension of IMD appearance decoration process. It is a 3D surface decoration technology that combines printing, texture structure and metallization characteristics. The appearance can realize the effect of imitation metal drawing, imitation of original wood grain, leather, spray and stone grain. Can complete three-dimensional, high 3D curved product shape. Spraying: Spraying tools such as spray guns are used to atomize the paint and spray it on the surface of the product. Not only beautiful, but also anti-oxidation, corrosion and other effects. Electroplating: Plating one or more layers of metal coating on the surface of the workpiece by electrodeposition to give the workpiece a beautiful appearance or specific functional requirements. Electroplating is mainly divided into water plating and vacuum plating. Water plating, the color is relatively simple, vacuum plating is colorful, can be plated red, blue and other colors. Calendering: The finishing process that uses the plasticity of the fiber under mixed heat conditions to flatten or roll out parallel fine diagonal lines on the surface of the fabric to improve the luster of the fabric.
