Conwy County Borough Council faced the challenge of efficiently managing Llandudno's Tourist Information Centre amidst budget constraints. 🏖️With nearly 3 million visitors annually, accurate data is crucial for delivering top-notch service. Our client, Scott Andrews, tackled this challenge by installing the advanced VS121 people counting sensor at the TIC. This cutting-edge sensor seamlessly works with the Welsh Government-funded #LoRaWAN network and ensures real-time data transmission while safeguarding privacy—no personally identifiable information involved and fully #GDPR compliant! Despite the obstacles of thick walls and a metal fire escape, the data is reliably transmitted at SF7 and received at the library via a gateway, in an environment where WiFi simply wouldn’t work.
