Looking to change up the way you participate in job fairs? Check out the reverse job fair on January 30, where you can put your elevator speech in your pocket, and listen to companies give theirs! What is a Reverse Career Fair you may be wondering? It’s an opportunity for jobseekers to engage in a less formal and less stressful environment with employers and recruiters who are actively seeking to hire military veterans and military spouses. Round tables will provide an open setting and will foster dialogue. Employers and recruiters will approach jobseekers sitting at each table to provide information about their organization’s culture, mission, available positions, and hiring pathways and discuss ways to get connected and get hired!

A career fair is uniquely different from a job fair. A career fair is meant to explore career options with professionals in your domain. A job fair is predominantly focused on instant recruitment for vacant roles. A career fair is held by universities & colleges. A job fair is held by companies & employment agencies. A career fair utilizes workshops & panel discussions to engage with professionals. A job fair employs resume checks & on the spot interviews for candidate assessment. Sure the differences are glaring & easy to get going forward. #Career fair is different from a job fair

I recently attended a virtual career fair where I was informed to reach out to a recruiter only if I fit every single qualification for the job listing I am interested in applying for. The current job market can be discouraging, as we may not always meet every requirement listed. However, it's essential to consider transferable experiences as they can bring new and valuable insights to your business. #JobSearch #CareerFair #TransferableSkills
