Today is Thank You Day! Take some time to thank a mentor or influential woman in your life. Here are some ways you can express your gratitude: 1) Send a handwritten thank you note. In today's tech-driven world, the sentiment of a personal note is a great way to say thanks! 2) Treat her to her favorite coffee or tea. 3) Bake her favorite treat or give a gift card for her favorite restaurant. #MIWRadio #MentoringInspiringWomen

It's been about three years now that I have been undertaking a baking and book challenge. It all began in 2020 when I embarked on creating 30 types of cookies, coupled with 30 equity, diversity, and inclusion tips over the span of 30 days. In 2023, I decided to shift my focus to crafting 12 cakes and delving into 12 books. The book-reading part was relatively easy, and I managed to read 29 books. However, creating the cakes demanded some skill, and there are three lessons I learned throughout the year of baking cakes that I can relate to my work in equity, diversity, and inclusion. To learn about what these 3 things are, check out my latest blog post here: https://lnkd.in/dfjKMX_f #StephRedivo #StephReads #StephsBookReviews #OnTheBlog #DiversityandInclusion #EDI #Equity #Inclusion [ blog post, equity, diversity, inclusion, hr professionals, community ]

Building Top 1% brands for Recruiters & Creators in Fintech | I talk about AI & LinkedIn updates | Public Speaker | Entrepreneur
I've been doing something really unique these past few weeks..and it's working I happened to stop by a bakery to buy some donuts for a housewarming party 🍩 I got 'em, went to the party and ate 'em Then, I realized that the base layer was not so moist as it should have been So, I stopped by the bakery the next day to just give them my opinion that.. "I think your donuts are great, if you make the base layer a lil more moist it would make it even better." The owner just smiled politely and I left, thinking maybe he felt offended.. Forward it to a recent scenario, I went to their bakery to get a cake And I got the sweetest reaction..the owner saw me and said, " You were the one who told us to make the donut base a lil more moist, right? It worked, we were selling those donuts a lil slow but now I've seen customers coming back for the same donut. Thank you so much. " Well, it made me happy. 😊 I've done the same thing on LinkedIn, If I saw a post that had great potential and it needed a little bit of work I slid in DMs and informed the creators and they were so happy to receive such feedback Moral of the story: Leave unrequested reviews or feedback for people so that they can improve. Support your community! 🫶 P.S. Leave a topic you need feedback about and please leave a feedback if you want me to improve anyway possible. Best wishes, Somya G #storytelling #personaldevelopment

Appliances For Multi-Family Properties, Straight From The Source | Getting A Certificate Of Occupancy Just Got Easier. | Founder & CEO of Express Appliances
My secret gifting tip: I listen out for things people like and jot down a note for myself. For example - 💐Janine told me she loves fresh flowers. ➡️I sent her a big bouquet to thank her for referring us to her new boss. 🥩A guy mentioned how much he enjoys meat boards. ➡️I had one delivered soon after that. ☕️An employee loves coffee. ➡️I got them a coffee subscription. Isn’t it fun to get people things you know they enjoy? #multifamily #appliancesets #propertymanagement #realestatedevelopment #realestateinvestment

Stumbled upon this café that's more than just caffeine and croissants. They have receipt tickets pinned on the wall, each telling a story of goodwill. Customers order coffees. "Two for us, three hanging," they say. Turns out, it's a pay-it-forward deal. Here's where it gets real. A person, down on their luck, asks if there's a coffee hanging. Without skipping a beat the barista snaps a receipt off the board, he's served. Originating in Naples Italy, this tradition's gone global. But it's not just about coffee. You can hang sandwiches or even full meals. Imagine if we all did this in our own communities. Small acts, big impact. Business owners, listen up. Being socially conscious isn't just a trend; it sets you apart and rallies your crew and customers. This is at the core of my new social giving platform www.clubneed.org Let's keep it simple with small acts of kindness and impact. Who's in? #CommunityKindness #PayItForward #ClubNeed #impactinvesting

Someone told me, i am a scammer! In 2020, when I started doing webinars to help foodpreneurs, a random person wrote a lengthy post calling my sessions a scam. The profile was fake and did not have proper identities. He wasn’t my student either. The post went viral when it was shared in shopping groups with a wide audience. It did hurt my emotions. However, I reflected upon the different aspects of the webinars and realized, -the values, -my intentions, -my integrity, -the broader purpose. I also reflected on the person’s identity and purpose. This helped me realize the differences. While I was working to help people grow, he focused on pulling people down. While I grew by creating values, he went viral by destroying someone’s purpose. While I liked giving, he enjoyed hurting and bullying, While I was ignoring things that I didn’t like, he was focusing on things that he believed were a scam! Though my friends and family suggested that I respond, I decided to stay calm. I did not want to respond to nameless people. Instead, I chose to spend more time on the messages and interactions that happen in the foodpreneur community. I always believed that we are answerable to people who trust us and invest in our abilities. And not to the fake, illusionary ones. Today, I have trained over 30,000 folks, and created 300+ brands with 500 outlets across India. The quality and purpose of our work should speak for us! Did you encounter any such experiences? How did you handle them?
