Hey there! We've missed you on LinkedIn™, and sorry we've been away for a while. The good news is that we're back and have some exciting things to share with you! We've been super busy at Plunkett Associates and Adept Precision, but we're happy to have increased our staffing levels and capacity to keep up with everything. We want to introduce you to our founder, Tim Plunkett. He's a fantastic entrepreneur, and we're lucky to have him. Tim's known for being an actual business 'Gent' with in-depth industry knowledge spanning 35 years. So, please take a few minutes to read about him and get to know us better. (Tim's a bit embarrassed about this message, but we wanted to ensure you knew how happy we are to be back!)
In his own words…
My passion for 'Getting Things Made' drove me to pioneer Rapid Prototyping in the British marketplace during the nineties. This ground-breaking initiative, undertaken while leading Formation Ltd and later 3T RPD, has left a lasting impact on the industry.
My commitment to my clients at Plunkett Associates has not only pushed the boundaries of conventional processes but has also led to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems. By thinking 'outside the box' and leveraging a vast network of suppliers, I pioneered novel material selection and process management, propelling Plunkett Associates to the forefront of the Prototyping and Low-Volume production industry.
In 2016, I boldly set up an additional company, Adept Precision. Despite the uncertain climate, ongoing Brexit movements, and constant changes within the industry, I decided to prioritise client requirements.
Managed by Plunkett Associates, Adept Precision provides Prototype and Production Tooling and an integrated moulding capability, allowing clients the option of a local, UK, fast-track production resource that had previously been difficult to source.
With two growing companies, life is always exciting, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Passionate, creative, and determined, I remain committed to the industry and my customers.
