In this blog post, I hope to shed light on the biblical requirement for churches to care for their pastors, specifically in the context of Africa, with an emphasis on Zambia my beloved country.

#analysis: Evangelical churches have joined the Catholic bishops in calling out the Kenya Kwanza regime November 27, 2024 "..Clergy Accuse Government of Failing to Deliver to Kenyans..: https://lnkd.in/dYS5fh7k #perspective The Luo speak a language in the western branch of the Nilo Semitic language family, which is part of the Eastern Sudanic subbranch of Nilo-Saharan languages. Christian Zionists are turning up the heat on the churches they have been corrupting in East Africa. Kenya is particularly important to Zionists programmes; the country is in a region that was known in 17th century maps as the Land of the Jews; which with the invasion of Europeans was turned into a penal colony. European missionaries and militaries destroyed stone structures that would have led to people associating East Africa, particularly Nyanza region with biblical Israel. The region of Western Kenya, Eastern and Northern was designed as a penal colony, to suppress Iberian Jews, Kenya became the center of hostile NGOs operations in the region, against the Luos population. There are 35,000 NGOs injected into Luo settlements accross East Africa. President William Ruto is dismantling this network, which goes against resolutions of the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885, which directed for the elimination of the Luo population, demonising Luos as 'Evil'. The countries that were represented at the time included Austria-Hungary, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden-Norway (unified from 1814-1905), Turkey, and the United States of America. Russia under President Putin rejected the anti Luo agenda, even went as far as releasing evidence of Hebrew Israelites being Dark skinned. For 150 years, the Luo have faced brutal suppression from the powers represented in the Berlin Conference. According to a recent report, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in the Nyanza region of Kenya receive a total of Sh45 billion from donors yearly, monies that goes into the funding of religious organisations, political system, the media, security system, banks and business leaders. The suppression of the Luo is a lucrative business, the territory of luo Exiles receives upwards of $8 billion USD yearly. The Churches are clearly desperate, something must be blackmailing them; "Chickens have come home to roost" is an idiom that means someone is facing the consequences of their past actions. Similar aggression faced by Putin in realising of Russian religious icons depicting yesua as black is the same aggressiveness being witnessed against President William Ruto. In 2022, ten African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), received almost half of the official development assistance to the continent. In the region, DRC received $3.4 billion in ODA, Kenya $3.3 billion, Tanzania $3 billion, and Uganda $2.4 billion.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM GAZA CHRISTIANS IN NAVIGATING THE WORKPLACE... The world is in turmoil, and the chaos in many ways is seeping into our work and our very lives. Work should be fulfilling, and our workplaces should be places of learning, camaraderie, and reward. Instead, many people find themselves battle-weary at work, navigating the day-to-day politics, fighting feelings of anger and despair at injustice and inequalities. Let's face it. The workplace everywhere has its own power dynamics, and those in charge are free to weild it however they please. That's a reality I faced a number of times in my own long career before establishing Virtual Business Services Caribbean (VYTT) 14 years ago. But it also taught me of a greater power within me, and about my own resilence. It also taught me about the value of maintaining grace and dignity in the most difficult of situations. God within gives us the power to overcome, to forgive, to let go, and sometimes to move on. At times He gives us the wisdom and strength to fight for a greater good. At other times, it might mean moving on or being forward looking. That doesn't mean yielding to wrongdoing. It can mean venturing out into untapped terrain and, importantly, becoming an example of how work can be a meaningful and rewarding collaboration; and how ethical and mutually beneficial solutions are always possible. Anger can become an obstacle but optimism and faith offers us a way forward. Christians in Gaza are chosing to not let anger motivate their response to very trying circumstances. Instead they are being optimistic about the future in the midst of the pain and chaos. I am inspired by this article and by those ethically-minded businesses that employ proper governance structures to make workplaces safe and inclusive. #ethics #workplacebullying #diversity #dei #genderequality #businessethics #injustice #corporategovernance #faith #leadership https://lnkd.in/exC--Vmd

Angola was a Portuguese colony for 450 years up until 1975. A coup brought a Marxist president to power, who vowed to eliminate Christianity, but he was unsuccessful. Between 1990 to 2010, the number of evangelicals quadrupled with over eight million today. However, the country has had to contend with forty years of civil war (1962 – 2002), with ongoing issues with landmines, poverty, and illiteracy. Amid this, the Bible Society of Angola is reaching out to visually disabled people with Braille Scripture portions, large-print Bibles, and audio Bibles. It is training church leaders about the importance of including the visually disabled in church activities. --- This Bible Mission update is an excerpt from our latest Bible a Month Regular Giving Members' Report. Discover how you can launch a global mission from the comfort of your living room by supporting a new Bible project in a different country each month - www.bibleamonth.nz . . #BibleMission #Bibles #God #BibleSocietyNZ #MannaNZ #Hope #MannaChristianStores #MannaCommunity
