Why Mind Blank? 🧠💭
Mind Blank is committed to enhancing mental health by tackling the root causes of issues and providing solutions to gaps in the mental health system.
Our goal is to prevent suicide and equip young people with the tools and knowledge to handle mental health hurdles by prioritizing prevention and resilience-building.
Through simulated real-life experiences, our programs engage young people in the design process to ensure effective communication. Mind Blank's impact has already helped over 50,000 Australians and we're expanding to reach more people.
Join the cause and help fill the gaps in support to address mental health challenges.

I created mine blank because I believed that no one needs to suffer in silence and I believe that there were so many gaps in the system right the systems improving. However, there's a real need to help people navigate what to do in a time of need and to skill up community, not just to react to crisis but to prevent if we can build some of these skills in some of the children and young people. That we see today, suicide doesn't need to be the leading cause of death. I remember when I was in year 11 and 12 and I was facing the worst experiences with mental health and it got to a point where I attempted to take my own life. There was a lot of thoughts that would consistently go through my head, kind of built up, but went from like, ohh, this feels a little bit horrid to I don't wanna be here anymore to whatever. I just took my whole bottle of sleeping pills. To that didn't work. What's next? We don't need to see 10 year old children taking their lives and we need to be able to create that environment where we can normalise these conversations. I guess it all kind of started for me when I moved away to boarding school. I was about 12:00 so I was living at the school 24/7 and I kind of lost that relationship with my family that most kids would have had at home having somebody to talk to when they were stressed or upset. No one needs to feel like they're. Estranged because they're going through some mental health issues, you know, if we can all build skills to know how to help in a time of need. If I'd known a program like mine blank had existed, and if that program would potentially came to my school, it might have been able to give me some prevention techniques, some tools to use to help myself. The mind-blowing model uses professional actors as a chance to experience it, see it, and. Translate it into real life. Thanks for that. Like I kind of realized that mental health isn't just like one day you wake up and you're super depressed and everything **** and then you die. It's like it's a process. It's like a living, breathing thing almost, you know, like it gets worse and worse and worse. But we are here to build skills, to make sure that every young person in every child has resilience tools, so that we equip them with these skills for a Wellness journey, so that we're not maxing out these. Distance. Our biggest point of difference is that we include young people in the journey, in the design. We have fun with them. They don't even realise that they're learning. We are speaking the language of young people to make sure that that knowledge is being transferred in the right way. And from everything that I've seen out there in the healthcare system, we are not focusing on the clinical or the crisis end of things. We're making sure that we have these. Safe conversations early on, building these skills to make sure that everyone knows what to do in a time of need. It could have gotten a lot worse, and I don't really like thinking about where I would be now if it if they happen to come to my school because. Like there's. Quite a like, big possibility that I wouldn't be around, you know, like. Think Mind Blank really, really helped me out. So over the last few years we've actually helped over 50,000 Australians already and we're looking to scale the organization. If you've found yourself resonating with our stories or wanting to make a real difference in this prevention space, give us a call. We would absolutely love the opportunity to work together with people that are passionate about wanting to make a difference.
The absolute beauty of what you do Ally Kelly, and how community has been included from the outset, in design, through to implementation is such a credit to Mind Blank. Just what is needed before people even realise it's necessary. 🎯👏
